I was thinking of a resort the entire time for it was plotted next to CS - Coronado Spring's. Thanks for sharing the cool made flexible guide ā˜ŗļø!

AKL isn’t really ideal for skyliner since one station can’t serve both Jambo and Kidani.
Why not? It’s a 5-10 minute walk between them. Stick it in the middle. šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

I wonder what other form of mass transportation Disney will use next. Their bus system is extremely impressive, but I'm sure is a large expenditure they would love to reduce.

Ziplines. šŸ˜‰

If I had to guess it would be to expand the Skyliner maybe.

But I am also willing to guess WDW transportation will cease to be free in the future.

🧐 The last 2-3 pages have been discussing why it won’t be…….

Their bus system is large… but anything but impressive.

Any major city in northern europe has far better equipment, better information systems, more consistent routes etc

The Sunset Savanna is between the two resorts. Nothin’ screams African Savana like a big, colorful gondola system runnin’ through it.
It looks like they could put a station across Osceola Pkwy., maybe, kinda’ between the two…? But I can’t imagine that workin’ for tons of guests tryin’ to cross that road every day, unless they built some kinda’ walkway over the road. Somethin’ tells me that’s not gonna’ happen, but ya’ just never know, I guess.
And, I imagine, the same would apply for a leg/spur off to AK, in regard to site lines, etc.
Plus, what would be the ROI on that large new Skyliner extension…?!
I have a feelin’, at this point, the suits are sayin’ enough with the no ROI (or loss) transportation crap already. We gave them a new form of transportation, and they’re used to the whole system by now anyway, so now it’s time to move on to more important things…like the new $75/attraction Super Totally Ultimate Positively Incredible Dream (STUPID) +++ Pass…!!!!!!! :joyfull:

Sorry, couldn’t resist…!!!!! :cautious::cool:😁:hilarious:;)

I agree it won’t happen, because of the animals mainly.

But as for the station, I meant it would be in the Jambo House parking lot, along the route you walk from one to the other, not the savannah!

Got that, regarding the savanna.
Yea, I looked at that on Google Earth earlier. The parking for the two resorts seems pretty limited, as is, and there’s no way a Skyliner station won’t take a sizable chunk out of it. Also, that would still be too close to Sunset Savanna, IMO, and I already mentioned the issues with building it across Osceola Pkwy.

The parking lot is for Jambo. Kidani has underground parking.

But I agree with you n all counts. They won’t build it over a savannah and neither over a major road.

Thanks for reminding me about the Kidani underground parking, as I remember hearing about that before, but had forgotten.
We stayed at Jambo House once, back in Oct. of ā€˜23, but never Kidani.
And that’s something else I think I noticed, as Osceola Pkwy. goes from Jambo House to Kidani, it seemed like the road rises up a bit…?! Most likely to get above the Central Florida water table to accommodate that underground parking…?!

And yes, definitely can’t see them doing a Skyliner station across Osceola Pkwy.

What about below between the Jumbo Parking Lot and where the entrance road to enter Jumbo is which is far enough separated from the Savannah and the Jumbo Pool. If you have a station there it could then fly over the water?

Assuming you mean kinda’ in the area I have highlighted in green, that looks pretty far away from Kidani. And also, the current Skyliner routes already go over roads and water, so not so much an issue there, probably. The issue, or question, from me is how complicated it looks like it would be for Guests to access the station with having to cross Osceola Pkwy. without an elevated walkway, or other option so as not to interfere with the traffic on that pretty busy road…?

It does go up, but I believe it’s only for the lobby and valet parking which is all on the second floor. Technically, the parking isn’t underground per se, just on the first floor since there aren’t any rooms on the first floor to my knowledge.

Anyways, yes the road goes up for the entrance to the lobby. Parking is technically on the first floor, but they built up a lot of infrastructure around it so it’s pretty ā€œundergroundā€ in some areas.
