I timed the stream from CBR to IG at 14 minutes, and from DHS to CBR at 4:30, so total time should be about 20 minutes. Google Maps has walking distance from the IG station to the DHS station at exactly 1 mile via the BW Pool shortcut. So yeah, a fast walker could beat it, but only by 5 minutes or less, and a typical 3 mph walker would be a tie.
100 degree heat in August, I will pass on the walking.

I apologize if this has been covered somewhere in the 1000+ prior pages, but I assume you have to transfer at CBR to get to HS from Epcot? If so how is the transfer process and how long does it take? Is it as simple as walking across a platform, or do you have to go up and down ramps like switching Monorails at the transportation center?

Yes, you have to transfer. You just walk over, no elevation changes.

Disney has height requirements posted on rides. Is there are combined weight requirement if a group of several large guests attempt to ride together?

If you watch this video starting at about 40:00, you will see the CBR station where you have to transfer.
Its all flat and open. It may be chaotic if a lot of people there like any busy train station.

I believe the maximum weight is 4000 lbs (these are used to haul cargo to the top of ski lifts as well as people). Even as the average American has gotten larger, I don't think there is any worry of fitting more than 4,000 lbs of human inside a single gondola.

Yeah, that would be 10, 400 lbs people. You couldn't fit 5, 400 lbs people on the bench.

Let's hope so. I know there is a weight max in hotel elevators.

It matches the way I've always heard "Pirates of the Caribbean" pronounced. I think the bus spiels also pronounce it that way, but I'm not 100% sure about that.

That's how I pronounce the Pirates ride and movies, but that's the only context where I say the word that way. Otherwise, I use the softer sound; I'm not sure why. It sounds weird when I hear the announcer lady say it.

In unrelated problems, the gondolas drive on the "wrong" side of the pole to and from Epcot. I don't care for it. 😆

Thanks!!! I definitely wasn't making it to the 40 minute mark of that!

It could be a way for marathon runners to get to backstage, as they did in that area before the old route was blocked by the station. But it seems like overkill for something that might be used a half dozen times a year.
The station construction did not block the runDisney races.

The videos are stunning. Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to record them and share them. I won't be able to go to WDW for a long time probably to enjoy the Skyliner, but these videos make me feel like I am there.

I've always thought the stations would be functional and hopefully efficient, without much in terms of style. I had no idea just how attractive and well themed they are inside them until now.
