I think this looks amazing! I wish this attraction would have been around in 2009 when we first visited. This will be so much fun, at least in my book!

From the online videos, it appears the main show runs about 10 minutes (with 2 theaters), and the Wardrobe preshow is about 5 minutes. That means the first 2 walkthru rooms probably last about 2-1/2 minutes each.

Early descriptions say each group is about 40-50 people.

That means AT BEST the attraction is handling roughly 600 visitors an hour. Not bad considering the intimacy. But this will certainly generate long waits.

This is appears to be a great, unique experience. But thank goodness they decided against building 2 similar-flowing princess M&G shows. The capacity issues would have been horrendous.

(Edited to correct math error!)

Not sure how you came up with the 1200 number. The show parts lasts 10 minutes and there are two theaters so that means that there would be 12 groups going through the show portion each hour. If we assume 50 per group that's only 600 guests per hour.

I guess you can look at it 2 ways: the number of people who would leave the attraction per hour, or the number of people who enter per hour.

How is the number of people who enter the attraction different from the number of people who leave it? Are people dying and giving birth inside the attraction?

I guess you can look at it 2 ways: the number of people who would leave the attraction per hour, or the number of people who enter per hour. (There will always be a large crowd in the building that makes the hourly count messy.) Every 2-1/2 minutes 50 people enter the front door. That's 100 people every five minutes, or 1200 every hour.

I'll edit my original post to reflect that specific way of counting.

You can't have more people enter the attraction per hour then leave it, otherwise the number of people in the attraction would continue to increate throughout the day. The 2 1/2 minutes, it would actually be 50 people entering every 5 minutes. The wardrobe room loads a storytelling room every 5 minutes, so the workshop has to load a group to the wardrobe room every 5 minutes, etc.

I'm an idiot. Even though there are 2 preshow rooms (at probably 2-1/2 minutes each), you're right--- they can only dispatch into Wardrobe every 5 minutes.

I will correct all my posts (and never try to do math again before lunch!)

The pre-show rooms would also have to be 5 minutes each.

From the videos, they looked to be shorter.

It appears a group of 50 is brought in, and spends 5 minutes total between the two rooms (that's where my math error occurred). Then they're loaded into Wardrobe.

So in essence, the foyer and mirror rooms are treated as a single, 2-part preshow. Guests may spend half the time in the foyer, but the front door only opens every 5 minutes.

(And maybe that's where I'm even assuming too much. Are visitors held in the foyer before entering the mirror room? Or are they simply walking thru it continuously to get to the mirror room?)

The only video I have seen so far of the entire experience is the one from Touringplans. This one appears to have an edit at the end of cottage segment so it's hard to tell how long they were actually in there. Also, they don't appear to be running it with a full guest load when that was being filmed so they timing might not be what we see in the final version.

so are they taking walkups yet???
what times of day are they doing it??
any patterns to the times of day??
No. There have been a few test and adjust sessions with cast and their guests, but nothing for the general public yet.
