New Fantasyland details/concept drawings!

Here's my thought, based just on the press release and concept art. You can see in this picture of a mine car from the concept art (note this one is just part of the theming and not on the track) that there is a pivot at the bottom of the bucket which would allow it to tip side to side (to dump it's load in real life). By guess is that the bucket portion will be able to rock side to side on that pivot and will simply react to the motion of the car on the track.

I read Raven explained it that way too a couple days ago and showed a picture of an old rocking crib as an example. This pic of the cart is perfect and shows that as well! Nice!

Better picture of that area below:

Thanks, Roundhouse it is! Looks like a nice bit of theming. Some might accuse them of doing Circusland on the cheap with two out of three tents staying and barnstormer only getting essentially a coat of paint, but there are some nice things going on here. Also I like the whole idea of Circusland from the stand point Walt, the nine old men, and more have been trying to fit a Circusland in to a Disney park. So there are a lot of old concepts out there that could be dusted off and used down the road. (cough Mickey's Mad House cough)

It seems to me that there is alot of extra space for expansion in the Storybook Circus area, Maybe for something later. Could that be the thing that Lee is talking about? Just a thought.

yeah i remember lee saying that Storybook Circus might be temporary or at least part of it. I'm sure they could add something. Maybe even behind all that land (since there is still more room to expand) they could build a decent size ToonTown.

You mention Mickey's Madhouse and there's also Circus Disney from the disgarded Circusland of 1976 for DL.

Circus Disney would be nice too, but in this age of 3D movie attractions and live shows I really can't picture an all Animatronic stage show anytime soon.

Not sure if this is a newbie question (long time lurker, but haven't posted much).

In the aerial pics of the expansion, I haven't seen anything that looks like tunnels being built. Does anyone know if there will be tunnels linking the expansion to the rest of the MK tunnel network?

There was a tiny bit of tunnel work in the Beauty and the Beast area, since Belle will be greeting guests in her cottage (and she'll need to get ready somewhere).

But since they scrapped the meet-n-greets and replaced them with a coaster, they also scrapped the tunnel extension. Fantasyland CMs can get to their posts without ruining the show. The new Snow White Mine Ride CMs are likely to be the only one's who have to cross guests paths to get to work anyway, since LM and BatB are on the perimeter of the park.
