Universal offers a form of extra magic hours (early admission to WWoHP or HHN) as well as unlimited FastPass, which is a different thing but same goal. They also feature complimentary entertainment on a par with WDW hotels. In addition, they are just flat out nicer properties. Your argument is invalid.

As for day tickets, all Orlando theme parks, even Sea World, nail you on single-day tickets. But why would you spend only one day at Universal anyway?

Hell, I buy a UOR annual pass for basically the 4 days a year I get out there.

But yes, UOR has all of those perks, and the perks there are more valuable because they simply don't have the amount of resort guests that Disney does, so they work better. EMH & FP are hardly anything special at WDW anymore.

By that logic, Spaceship Earth and Buzz Lightyear are repackaged Haunted Mansions since they both use omnimover technology.

Sorry, but I'll call out Universal fanbois who are intellectually dishonest, too. Transformers doesn't just use the same ride system, it uses the same story beats and special effects. It's still fun, but I don't know that anyone would want to ride both in the same afternoon.

And the free show at Royal Pacific? Blows away some College Program kid reading a canned list of Disney trivia questions.

Not taking sides, I like both UOR and WDW equally for different reasons, but I think he is talking about Transformers being a repackaged Spider-Man.
This is like saying all wooden coaster are the same because it's a car going through a wooden track.

So every new ride that uses the same technology from a ride already at the park will be a repackaged ride?

TSMM is nothing more than a repackaged Buzz then.

If the ride track, themeing and basic elements are not the same, then it's not a packaged ride, just a ride that uses the same technology.

You really don't need the EP though. I was just there a few months ago. We did a one day park hopper. Hit IOA in the morning and Uni mid afternoon til closing. We were tired but our longest wait of the day was Despicable me at 35 minutes.

That doesn't sound too bad. If that is typical for that time of the year, and we actually do go during our cruise trip, then we may skip that huge extra cost. Thanks.

I say the same thing I have been saying all along and he finally understands it. I guess it should be expected though from someone who hates Disney so much. Oh wait... did I misunderstand his comments thus far? o_O

I wish my phone did not show the quoted material from those on my ignore list.

Again, your reading comprehension has failed you. I've stated in this thread and others that I still prefer Disney.

So grow up and quit acting like the kid that takes his ball and goes home.

Uni's transportation is faster and so much prettier than driving yourself. I'd say they beat Disney by a mile (or several miles) on transportation.

Uni also has some fantastic entertainment at their hotels. I think maybe that person had no experience staying there.

luv - and you can throw chicken to the gators, if you're brave.

Some people like chocolate, some like vanilla. Why does anyone have to defend what they like?

It's only natural to defend what you like. I've seen you do it, so you should know. But I don't think anyone has a problem with you liking chocolate or vanilla. The reoccurring annoyance on this forum is the strictly vanilla people insisting that chocolate tastes like banana, often because they haven't even tried it. Or because their taste buds are just seriously out of whack. Or because their name is Jimmy. Either way, you can find such assumptions in this very thread.

I have nothing against bananas, by the way. It's just not chocolate.
