Since these two new themed lands will be opening this upcoming summer, what one do you think will be better? Or bring more people into the park? (Diagon Alley including Hogwarts Express) (All of Fantasy Land Expansion)

Do not make this a big UNI vs WDW thread, just your opinion on which will be better.

And just how do you not make this a thread about one versus the other?

I think Diagon Alley will be another industry milestone.

To be fair, New Fantasyland was not designed to attract new people but handle existing crowds. We can debate whether the Magic Kingdom does need more but it is unfair to project those thoughts onto New Fantasyland and just as ridiculous for Disney to promote it as such.

Based on what we know of Diagon Alley at this point I am going with that. From what I have seen it's going to have all the best parts of Phase 1, while correcting a lot of the things people have criticized it for.

New Fantasyland opened a year ago. Its not a fair comparison.

Just asking a question here, but how is one expansion not comparable to another? This was being discussed in the Avatar increasing AK attendance thread, so I'm not sure why it's not applicable here.

It didn't seem all that confusing to me personally, but let me help you:

-It is a question because it asks which of two (2) items you prefer. A proper response would be for you to weigh-out the two choices of items to compare, and pick one that you like, or think you will like over the other one. In this case, the two items being compared are Magic Kingdom's New Fantasyland, and Universal's Diagon Alley. I hope this clears up any confusion you may have had with this.

p.s. My answer to the OP: Diagon Alley.

( @lilclerk , you see what I did there? I weighed out both choices and picked one I presume will be superior.)
Thank you for the thorough explanation.

I think that Diagon Alley will annihilate New Fantasyland. Let me state for the record that I think that NFL is amazing aesthetically, but J.K. Rowling demands nothing but attention to detail and perfection.
And so does James Cameron. Which gets me a little excited about Disney not slashing the budget.
Sorry I'm off topic.

Speaking of Diagon Alley, Any recent word on if the dragon on top of the structure is really going to make it past concept art? Anyone?

Only if you think the means are totally unimportant. New Fantasyland was not about driving new growth.
Of course the means are important. And you're blinded by something if you think anything is done in the amusement industry for anything other than profits. Disney is a great company but it's not investing billions out of the kindness of their hearts, they expect a return on investment, and so does universal.
