The Disney Parks Blog has released some great model images of the new Fantasy Faire, also confirming the closing date of Princess Fantasy Faire, and a new show that will debut in Summer 2013 at Fantastyland Theatre.

We have some exciting news to share today! The Creative Entertainment team is hard at work on a spectacular live entertainment experience for the Fantasyland Theatre in Disneyland park. This amazing new show is set to debut in summer 2013. In order to get everything ready, Princess Fantasy Faire will be closing August 12.
Of course, you can still meet your favorite Disney Princesses whenever you visit Fantasyland. You’ll be able to find them along the path to “it’s a small world” from August 13 through the opening of the all-new Fantasy Faire near Sleeping Beauty Castle next spring.

If the final product really does look that vibrant color-wise, it'll be interesting to see how the castle (just behind you) pairs up. What are the chances SBC get's a makeover once this is done?

The castle will be off to the side, not directly behind it. If you look closely at the model you'll see they have extended the castle walls to appear behind the new village.

Remember that the castle already got a makeover during the 50th, and they made the colors more vibrant back then. I think they will do their best to make sure the new Faire blends in with the surrounding area.

I hope they include an eatery somewhere here, even if it's a small one. Fantasyland only has one restaurant, but I won't count on another one to be built here. I hope they do end up building one, though.

That model looks gorgeous! The pictures looked great, but the model makes it easier to see how lush and fancy this little princess corner will be. A very, very classy looking new offering for Disneyland.

And I must say, it looks like a fun place to go dancing at night, too!

Makeover, as in a new paint job?

Yes but I'm guessing it's pretty unlikely as mentioned below, it got a new paint job for the 50th. The pink on the far left of the village is what (to me) looks like it could leave the pink of the castle looking bland.

I see what your're saying about the castle walls extending to the village. But there's a pathway there between where Carnation Plaza was and the moat/castle. I wonder how they're going to handle that. Perhaps something similar to what their doing with the stand along wall in the new fantasyland at MK.

I was on MiceChat and apparently at the Pacific Northwest Mouse Meet, Tony Baxter stated there will be a Figaro animatronic that will sit in a window sill, asleep, then wake up to watch a bird in its cage. I also heard there might be koi fish in the pond.

I'm really excited to see how they can make this the "first class" area like Al Lutz has said it will be. Sounds great!

It's highly possible that the castle is due to be repainted, anyway. I remember at WDW, they had those golden decorations for DL's 50th on the blue spires up for only like 18 months... by the time they came down, you could definitely see how the sun had beaten on the blue paint in only 18 months. I would be surprised if they timed a castle refresh to coincide with this opening.

SBC has already repainted since the 50th... including a tint change

Three new peices of concept art(see the link for more). Nothing to new or revealing.

......
The art gives you a sense of the rich detail and beauty coming to this new corner of Fantasyland. Of course, concept art being just that, some aspects may be subject to change, such as the specific Disney Princesses visiting the Royal Hall on any given day.

The new Fantasy Faire opens in spring 2013. Until then, you can meet Disney Royalty elsewhere in Fantasyland, along the path to “it’s a small world.” Be sure to stop by The Disneyland Story inside the Main Street Opera House at Disneyland park to see this concept art in person, in the “Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow” section of the exhibit, beginning August 10.

Good to see the "Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow" display finally updated.
