New Fantasy Faire Experience coming to Disneyland

Just wanted to post some pictures from Dateline Disneyland. This thread hasn't been updated in months. The Princess Fantasy Faire project is REALLY coming along. They are working hard and fast. For the most part, it looks done. It seems that all that needs to be done is the painting, decorations and details.

Thanks for the update Raven!

In his last update on Miceage, Al Lutz said that the new Faire would open on March 11th, with AP previews and soft openings the week beforehand. That's just three months away, so they need to wrap this up quickly.

Anytime, TP! You're right, if it's truly opening on that date then they don't have much time left. I myself can't wait to see it completed.

Lol, that's my question, especially when it's almost all interior work only since the facade isn't changing that much and the building is already there.

Worked started June 1st of this year, the day after SWSA closed. My guess is that they didn't really know the end date at the time and saying "late" 2013 gave them a nice vauge timeframe for completion that didn't sound too soon.

The Blue Sky Cellar reopened today with a brand new exhibit featuring the Fantasy Faire. The exhibit features new concept artwork, models, and a video preview of the new addition to Fantasyland.

Fantasy Faire will consist of the Royal Theatre (live shows), Royal Hall (Princess Meet-and-Greet), Maurice's Treats (Snack ODV), and Fairy Tale Treasures (shop). A few photos below from MintCrocodile's latest update,

Artwork and elevation study of the fairytale village:

Royal Theater (interior) -- live shows will be presented here, featuring Beauty and the Beast and Flynn/Rapunzel

Maurice's Treats:

I love this next one, an interactive music box featuring Clopin and the Festival of Fools - resembling an "old-world clockwork toy"

Another fun detail, an AA birdie and Figaro will sit atop one of the windowsills and interact with each other

The centerpiece of the exhibit is a scale model of the new area

Thanks for the update/photos! I wasn't expecting this much from Fantasy Faire. I'm appreciative of all of this. So creative.

PFF looks like it will be so much better than Fairytale Hall at WDW (which appears to be only getting the "hall" component). More stuff, more deatils, and a Hunchback reference is always good too!
