I saw this & almost posted it but figured it was just wishful thinking & I was reading too much into it. I agree the theatre should be the icon, although bringing back the Earful Tower is fine by me. ToT isn't the worst thing ever either.

Who am I kidding? I think I'm just that fed up with the BAH that I can't wait for it to go!

The Disney World Facebook page posted a picture of the resort with the 4 icons except for the hat.. Instead they placed the tower of terror as the icon for the picture.

Could this mean anything?

Also, apparently there are credible rumors of Tangled replacing Beauty and The Beast on stage, and something replacing the Little Mermraid.. As well as the swirling rumors of Radiator Springs Racers. Could this be a step-closer to DHS 2.0?

I think the Earful Tower or the Chinese Theater should be the icon. They represent Hollywood or what the various studios had once.

They should return it to how it used to be, with the earful tower as the emblem. Besides it was nice looking down hollywood blvd and seeing the Chinese theater instead of a giant cartoon hat. Suited the park better.

I stated this in another thread....The Chinese Theater represents Hollywood...and since most studios had a water tower, the Earful Tower should be an Icon. It doesn't need to be a ride....a la Cinderella Castle.

I think the reason the Chinese theater never was the icon was because of legal reasons. As for ToT as the icon... wouldn't it be the same? The attraction is centered around the Twilight Zone franchise correct? So wouldn't that be a legal battle to make happen unless Disney does actually have the rights to Twilight Zone??
