New Everest Mist Effect?

Not gonna' happen, like I said they cut the water lines because they thought they were rusting faster than they thought they would, so n'mo mist inside the attraction.

There is no reason (besides unwllingness to spend money - see Efficiency/Show thread in General ara) that there can't be mist in a part of the ride that was designed and themed for it.
Uni has mist every day on Mummy. What? Disney can't keep a simple mist effect working properly but Uni can?

After awhile they move on, and now alot of the Cast don't even know what's supposed to work and what's not. This means a great ride is in the hands of people who get ahead by cutting corners, even if it means losing effects and safety at a major Attraction.

There are CMs working Dinosaur that didn`t know it ever had lasers, let alone why they are deactivated.

The Mummy has 13 types of mist/smoke - and most of them are not water borne. DAK are saying they can`t get an alternative, even if it means just shooting some in ahead of each car? They need to go to a local nightclub!

I remember seeing this effect. I think it was last year in April. But either way, I think that they should add something to the first stop- the broken track part. That part is just so boring and dull and imo, the 2 stops takes away from the thrill. If they added some kind of effect, to make it feel like the yeti was just there and have it feel like he's running toward you or something and at the last minute you see a hand or some piece of the yeti pop up and then you go back, that would be so throwed.

Bird effect was so cool. Wonder why it's not working anymore? Seemed pretty simple to maintain. I wonder if some rowdy riders were targeting it as their version of a "bird hunt"?

Lol, well for the above example, "throwed" means cool. So it is used in a positive way. In other examples, throwed could also mean "off-track" or "not feeling so well." Something negative in the sense that you're having an off day just like every athlete has one. But the above example that I used was meant in the sense that the effect, if added, would be cool. Lol.

Freshen up by browsing the urban dictionary sometimes. I dont even think thats in there, and if it is its probably a different definition than the one I gave. Oh well, lol.

The bird should be back within the next month. and two of the mist nozzles were on this morning 4-05. and if anyone rode last Tuesday morning they would have seen Joe Rohde and his crew. they rode several times just after the park opened.

The bird should be back within the next month. and two of the mist nozzles were on this morning 4-05. and if anyone rode last Tuesday morning they would have seen Joe Rohde and his crew. they rode several times just after the park opened.

Completely random, but I think they should make Everest Bird one of the tasks you get when CDS doesn't know where else to put you, rather than sweeping the greeter portal or pin trading or making a FLIK run. Everest Bird (or Bird on Stick) would be the most sought after task ever!

Lucky. We never got cool names for things like that. It was just the standard "Return to CDS for new assignment" or "Bump off to take lunch/break". Don't know if it's since changed, but back in my day, it was standard issued crap...not that I should've expected more. CDS = Crap Dispensing System. :lol:

...and back on topic, I can't imagine the other numerous effects the OP has never seen, simply because they never work, such as the mist in question on Everest. It's just sad when you think about how many effects haven't worked in forever, not just on Everest, but on a lot of attractions.

i opened Everest, and the best task ever was "Go to wall" where you just stood there and told people they can't come in. so satisfying.

and yes, those water effects were always there... i think i left right when they stopped working. i can't believe how quickly they've let that attraction's effects go down w/ out fixing them. i feel lucky to have seen A show for a long time (minus a waterfall). i think the first effect i remember going down was the steam @ load... but that happened really quickly. i remember when those were installed, it was so cool... until you worked at rear dispatch and got steamed every 60 seconds. some of the best times ever were watching the firework shows from up on the lift, or doing the track walks when the park was closed and the yeti was doing his nightly compiling test and he moved at 1/24th show speed (or something like that) and it just looked like he was doing the robot in slow motion.

man i miss it.
