A certain spirit has indicated a new DVC may be coming to WDW's second gate. Seems a rumor worthy of a thread of its own.

have heard this for a few years now... even heard rumbling of a dvc built into one or more of the world showcase pavilions but I have no idea how that could be pulled off

I'm still waiting for DVC Hollywood Hotel :)

Yes, there are web sites dedicated to the concept of a Future World hotel at least partially. Interesting idea about the HH.

I really like the idea of small boutique hotels added to WS. I think it is feasible if there was a luggage check either at the airport or the main gate. The new Poly rooms on the water could prove the concept as they will generate top dollar. I expect they will be popular with celebrities and the well off with families. Demand could out-strip supply. So WS hotel rooms may not be that far fetched.

I think Epcot theme park should integrate the DVC in it. That would be awesome! The Japan show building will be great to start with, and then followed by Innoventions, convert those to the Communicore suites!

If anything, the reality of an Epcot DVC will have to wait for development of the Ft. Wilderness DVC. The old River Country site needs to be rehabbed one way or another.

They already have 2 DVCs at the Beach Club and Boardwalk, and both are within walking distance of Epcot's back gate... maybe they should put in some attractions at Epcot instead

Agree, using up more Epcot real estate for conventions and now rooms is bothering. Might as well just open the place up to the public as one giant shopping mall, bar, dining, and rooms. They have given up on attractions..... Im guessing logistically this would incoporate the two large expansion pads in world showcase next to Germany (one of which would have been Africa) with some type of access to the main road. Just seems like it would make for a mess in terms of backstage etc. Unless they are looking at the main parking lot.
