There’s a picture of a carousel on the wall! What more could you want?Yikes. So they have devolved to the point where the name can be the only thing to fit in theme.
These new looks are so modern and IKEA based, as many have said, but would look terrific in a modern, contemporary style hotel. If only Disney had one of those that actually was modern and had a clean look. Imagine the Contemporary lobby, Grand Canyon Concourse, and all common areas have a sharp, clean, modern look.Eddie Sotto was right. They don’t even try any more. It’s not supposed to be Marriott. It’s supposed to be a turn of the 20th century Atlantic City Boardwalk themed hotel. But looks like they are making a Marriott as fast as they can.
I've spent many hours in a hospital cafeteria the last few weeks. Believe it or not, the cafeteria had more theme than this does.Wow. This is going to get roasted on all of the socials. And deservingly so. Terribly uninspiring. The seating area looks like it could be from a hospital vendateria it’s so sterile.
Pictures of this awful makeover are posted in the thread. You speak as though you've actually seen the changes that are coming to the resort. Do you care to elaborate/share? Or are you referring to the area that is the new coffee shop?
Guest.services@disney.com, tell themAs a DVC member with home resort at the Boardwalk I am appalled at just how bad this is. Zero theming, everything is just plain white and super boring. Zero inspiration or care went into this.
I know that Disney is cheap and doesn't want to spend money but even on a budget at least TRY to match the theme. They didn't even attempt theming here.
