That would be funny. Maybe I should out character her. I'm sure with all of my connections, I could get a superior stack of character photos.

I can't find her website...

I have over 1200 pics... of over 300 characters..

If they are planning on retiring a character, that might be very unknown or something, they must still keep the costumes somewhere, right?

I don't know about you guys but I was always a fan of the Disney Afternoon characters (e.g. Gummi Bears, Bonkers, Rescue Rangers, etc.) I wish that they would join Rebecca Cunningham in doing more meets. I just hope that Rebecca is still around the next time I go to WDW in 2004. :(

costumes? what costumes...

when a character retires... they're sent to a retirement home... it looks a lot like a warehouse. they come out for special events if they're requested

Our Disney Character Greeting List

We do have pics from some characters in other outfits at other locations, but have only chosen one picture from each visit to put in our "Great Big Disney Autograph Book of Everything". This was the first year we made the book & took it. Many characters & CMs loved paging through it. It was put in order with Classic characters first followed by movie title in alphabetical order, except for the occasional characters that only had one page (Roger Rabbit, Song of the South). The Star Wars pages were done on black pages with gold & silver for autographs. I used a Creative Memories 8-1/2x11 Cranberry album.

There are pics of myself & my brother (ages 5 & 3) greeting characters from our trip in 1973?? I think among them are Gus, Captain Hook, Dopey, Snow White & a pic of both of us on Main Street. I hope to add these & the pics we just took last week soon.

I hope you enjoyed our list & I look forward to hear about your character sightings and adventures!!

HOW COOL IS THAT??

<Picking up jaw off the floor> :dazzle:

That is a totally awesome list! My children & I are drooling all over the floor!! How many years & trips did it take you to acquire that list? It makes our list look puney. 175 Disney characters if I counted correctly!! You are awesome! Do you have pics to share? My boys (10, 8 & 4) would absolutely love to see them if available.

I have pics... somewhere. I have pics of over 300 characters.. but some were parades/shows, and some where from a distance during a special event.

At my disposal on my HDD, I have about 100 diff.. characters.

You may want to check toonfinder.com or on the photo albums, under the account name of WDWMagic Characters

I'm at work right now... but i'll be home after 9 tonight

Nemo! and "hard to find" stuff

To reply to a conversation from earlier, you are partially right about the Nemo meet and greet. It actually started today. BUT- not at Ariel's. Instead, meet Nemo and his seaweed friends at the Ticket and Transportation ticket center by the boat dock. Nemo actually "floats" around on the land, with lifelike flipper animation. (btw, its NOT a furry recreation, with legs and stuff [that would look ghastly]) You need to see it, it is truly state of the art.

And on another note- since when is Rebecca Cunningham such a hard to find/ random/ gotta get character. Every time she goes out, no one even knows who she is. It makes sense for her to be less accessible.

I knew her name was Becky, before my sons could remember. It's been awhile since we've seen the shows. We don't get ToonDisney at home.

And haven't any of you ever seen Mowgli out in Adventureland? We met hime there on a chance meet in March, 1998. I think that's the only character that I've seen that you haven't?? :sohappy: I think that we can only dream about meeting the other 6 dwarfs and others. Although we met 13 totally new characters on this past trip, so there's always a chance. Plus, if I can talk dh into visiting over Halloween or Christmas (first week of December only if we do) we could probably add several other hopefulls to our growing list.

Thank you all for sharing & giving us hope to meet these. And thanks for the update about Nemo! He sounds really cool. Did you get a pic?

Have a great night dreaming about your next Disney adventure!
:)
