New celebration announcement and updated details on FLE Sept 24th?

I am excited. I am about fed up with the celebrate theme! I am hopeful of a color theme like we had for the 25th!! I personally loved the castle as a cake although in pictures now, it looks silly!!

Hopefully, the return of Spectro Magic! Updates to Fantasmic!! Get rid off the awful after parade at MK. It was a waste and terrible!! I like the hat at HS, but get rid of it!

Probably one with princesses.

"Celebrate Princess!" That's right, celebrate the little princess inside girls of all ages. Come and spend $100 at BBB or perhaps take part in our extra admissions event every night. Not done yet? How about spending over $40 a person on a a bland meal and a photo with Cinderella!

DID WE MENTION PRINCESSES YET?

I never got to see the castle as a cake in person. Maybe I'll get my chance now! :D

I would love to hear about the return of Spectro Magic and added days of Fantasmic. That would be nice.

:lol: I really don't need to see the cake as a castle. I do have a picture up on one of my walls of the cake castle and it always makes me smile. Not in a, "oh how pretty" way, but in a "what were they thinking" kind of way. I do think it would be interesting to see in person.

It will be a Make/Buy Memories campaign. Sure they cost a lot up front but over the next 50 years each memory made costs only pennies. Remember you can't buy happiness but you can buy memories, at every on-ride photo booth.

I'm going to be an optimist here with some rose-colored glasses and say I'm excited about whatever the new theme might be. Perhaps it will be something to do with the 40th; perhaps it will be about magical memories. At least I will get to partake in whatever it is. For all of the complaining and criticizing Disney World gets, it still is the most magical place on Earth. All of the things they do wrong are negated by every smile I see on my husband and son's faces.

According to Screamscape and the Disney Parks Blog the announcement will be today at 12:45pm EST!

I've posted a new thread in the Fantasyland section to discuss the changes, if that's what they announce.

Anything else park related can just be added to this thread I suppose.

Finally some news!

Oh... and I hear Disneyroks is making the announcements... :lookaroun:lookaroun:lookaroun

But no really, I'm willing to bet they'll touch on Duffy more, somehow tie him into a new celebration thing, talk about the new Disney stores offering a parks like experience (either because it has more entertainment or the parks have become giant malls), updates on FLE, and, oh lets just have some wishful thinking, Monsters Inc DHS coaster please?

I appreciate your optimism, and I'm not trying to be a jerk here, but what do you mean by "partaking" in it? I have heard this from others online before in regard to other marketing campaigns, and I never understood exactly what someone means when they say they can't wait to participate in "celebrating today" or the year of a million dreams.

I mean, yeah, you're going to visit the parks, enjoy yourselves, but the only difference from any other visit is that the napkins, cups, and receipts will have different logos and there will be different promotional banners across property? Everything else is essentially the same. That's why I don't really get why Disney Parks obsesses over having a faux celebration/even/campaign all the time because you can call it whatever the heck you want, but the parks are the same anyway?!
