Not enough room anyway (without doing some work downstairs in the tunnels that is)I'm the minority on this thread, but me personally I like the arches. I doubt Disney installed a retractable lift for the towers.

That's what I was thinking. Not enough room anyway (without doing some work downstairs in the tunnels that is)
Is Donald suffering Dream amnesia every time the show ends?Sigh...
Sorry folks. Did my best to will them away. I'm beginning to think Donald was on to something about not believing in dreams coming true...
That would be wonderful if true! I know there was a rumor of the lift being taken out.I believe the lift is still there.
This was taken today.View attachment 142726
unfortunately I don't think its going to be the new heads. I would be 100% shocked if thy used them for this or even ever came to WDW. A few posts shows off Mickey in his costume for this show with his current head.
Don't be so shocked. The new heads are coming. Me personally, I think the US parks should've debuted them ahead of Shangais opening so they didn't have to play catch up, but Shangai probably has exclusiviety opening rights (joking, because of Soarin').unfortunately I don't think its going to be the new heads. Shanghai debuted the costumes at first with the old heads then switched.unfortunately I don't think its going to be the new heads. I would be 100% shocked if thy used them for this or even ever came to WDW. A few posts shows off Mickey in his costume for this show with his current head.
The old heads were just used in promotions before the park opened. Only the new heads have been used in the park itself.Shanghai debuted the costumes at first with the old heads then switched.
The heads have always been improved and switched out. Eventually wdw will get different heads. That is a fact. If it's these or other ones. The old heads were just used in promotions before the park opened. Only the new heads have been used in the park itself.
I know that you mean that they're always manufacturing heads, but the Shanghai designs are the first real upgrade (aside from the articulated heads) made to Mickey and Minnie since 1988. Those heads have been around longer than some of us here on these forums were born or can even remember. This is part of the reason why the new heads are such a big deal for a lot of fans. The heads have always been improved and switched out. Eventually wdw will get different heads. That is a fact. I agree it's a big deal. I'm just saying new heads are inevitable and I disagree with people who say they are staying in Shanghi only.I know that you mean that they're always manufacturing heads, but the Shanghai designs are the first real upgrade (aside from the articulated heads) made to Mickey and Minnie since 1988. Correct. I just misunderstood your point.I agree it's a big deal. I'm just saying new heads are inevitable and I disagree with people who say they are staying in Shanghi only.
Still waiting for the Seven Dwarfs to get a new look sometime. Especially since Beast just got a new look which was first seen at DCL recently and will later be seen at WDW And Disneyland pretty soon. They looked like that since between 1981 or 1984I know that you mean that they're always manufacturing heads, but the Shanghai designs are the first real upgrade (aside from the articulated heads) made to Mickey and Minnie since 1988.
