Yes from a source the new versions haven't arrived yet but are coming. Shanghai actually wasn't supposed to debut them yet.
If the new looks of Mickey and Minnie are arriving soon. I wonder what Donald,Goody,Pluto and even Ship and Dale's designs would look like? Especially since Pluto and Chip N Dale kept that look since 1981.

hang on, does this means that ALL heads will be redesigned? of the fav5? or just Mickey and Minnie?

Now I wonder if the change was also engineer wise.
Aka new materials, new head tech, new puppeter system (aka active eyes, mouth)

Is it just me or do the Shanghai characters look a little more cartoony?

They actually look more "realistic" 3d wise. Like they were designed to "sync" with the new 3d version of Mickey Mouse.

For what though?
To sell more photos. It's genius.

Disney photoshops the crane out of the photos they take of you. So then you look at your own photos with the crane in them, and you look at Disney's photos, and then you realize that you just can't post/tweet/frame a photo with a crane in the background. And so you buy Disney's crane-less ones. I guarantee that they have the numbers to back this.

Many days, I have seen the crane do nothing but sit there all day. Not a single movement. It's there for a reason, and that reason is not entirely construction.

I agree with you Ghost Host, completion of many of the new shows and attractions are too late, should have been done by now and ready for the bigger crowds. I'll be there the week of May 9th and am a little disappointed that many of these projects I've been following since last year won't be completed until well after that, mid or late summer.

Yeah. Considering they have treated Memorial Day as the "start of summer" in recent years, it is infuriating that they can't get a simple stage show, a modest retheme of a boat ride, or new Star Wars fireworks open by then. RoL I get was out of their control.
