New Cast Costumes at HWS

If they ever see fit to expand boundaries into the new cast parking area though, then it's a much more logical time to uproot things across the street.

Sure, but they can expand the park into the "old" (current) CM parking very easily once this new parking is finished and the new guest entry plaza is done. That would enable an expansion of the Echo Lake area in theory (similar to what was the original plans for Star Wars) especially if they are willing to remove/replace the Indy stunt show theater.

I would think the current CM parking (Television lot) is the most likely candidate area for expanding the park boarders if that were to happen. Any other expansion location would be far far down the road.

Now I'm just waiting for them to announce a pedestrian bridge going over this new road realignment so cast doesn't get whacked by mindless tourists entering the park

Oh I know. But eventually (20+ years down the road) they're going to run out of room to build without going to the right of Muppets/SWL (after they've done echo lake, animation (all the way back to the offices), added another attraction along sunset, removed the SD/Frozen building for something useful, etc)

new guest entry plaza.

i've seen that mentioned a few place but does anyone have any details on it?

is it just rebuilding the front where it currently sits to redo the security checkpoint, etc, or a total relocation? if it a relocation where to?

Yes, it should be gone by the end of next year.
Seems odd that they would spend the money rebuilding the toll plaza then:

I get the blacktop replacement but why would they spend the money on concrete if they are only going to rip it out a year from now at 5 times the price of asphalt?

I am not following you on this? They are re-building the toll plaza because it's being moved to a totally different location.

If they are moving the toll plaza why would they spend money fixing the old one. I ask this because they have spent a considerable amount of money rebuilding the old toll plaza in recent months.

I wasn't aware they did any work on the plaza itself. Looks like they just ripped up some of the road for utility work and then repaved it.

It was for either drainage work or reconfiguring the electrical that got moved over by Muppets. The trench was fairly deep from what I recall so I'm no sure what they were up to. Anyway regardless they spent 6+ months doing something in those first 2-3 lanes.

The construction plans for the World Drive/Osceola interchange do say that entrance will be closed.

Why aren't they using the backlot parking garage for cast parking and moving the cast entrance to the old studios area?
