I was riding the buses from MK to MGM and then MGM to Epcot.

I've heard they're all active now, so you should get it coming from AKL.

And you can probably see, the MK - MGM bus was a crappy old bus while the MGM-Epcot bus was a shiny new one.

See if you didn't say anything I would have never know that it was the bus. Its the same guy that is the new monorail voice and the voice over at Dragons at Universal

I stayed at all star music at the beginning of June and had those announcements on the bus to magic kingdom. We drove everywhere else so im not sure if they had them on the other buses.

I really like these plusses to the bus system. It starts to turn them into something a bit more Disney than simply the name written on the outside. The music specific to your destination is a very cool and very "attention to the details" type of idea.

How was the audio level on the buses you rode? The only time I've had the chance to try out the new bus system was back in May when it was first rolling out. I got to hear the audio from DTD to Typhoon Lagoon and then from Typhoon to the Epcot resorts. My only complaint was that it was so loud that it was almost impossible to talk to the person next to you. I really like the idea of background music, as long as it stays in the background and isn't blasted out of the speakers.

It was fine, when the speil starts, his voice is louder then the music, so people shush up, but as you probably hear in the video people chatted like normal otherwise.

...and you're right about the Epcot one. Obviously recorded last year sometime before they got this system rolling considering The Living Seas' name is no more and Character Connection has been reopened under a new title.

The irony being that the characters on holiday has even been removed from the Disney website - and we know how slow those people are to remove extinct attractions.

WHat is wrong with the epcot speil? that is correct it talks about the stuff that it should be.

It references things that you wouldn't find on a map anymore, at least not by that specific name. Not enough to be huge deal or even to cause any confusion probably, but there are some wrong references in it.

Specifically, it mentions to visit "The Living Seas" where Nemo can also be found. The pavilion is now known officially as "The Seas with Nemo and Friends" since late last year. It also states to visit the characters at "Character Connection" in Innoventions. This area recently went through a nice refurb to give specific photo areas themed to the various areas of Epcot and is now referred to as "The Character Spot" (I believe that is its new name). Just little things like that. Nothing big, but it does show it was recorded before these changes were made, or without realizing these changes were made.

Just out of curiosity, why no video to go with the audio? The drives/rides to the Parks are a big part of the fun for me. Thanks for posting it, though!

All busses, except for about 15 that are due for retirement this year have the system on them. All will have music and spiels, (providing that the driver is using the system/ or the system hasent frozen up on the bus), and yes, its the same guy that does the monorail spiels too. Spiels will be updated in time, and eventually will change reg. this will be in phase 3, when the central computer is controlling everything. right now, they only want the basics (less stuff that can go wrong). they'll add more stuff as as time goes by.

No, the system will not be changing the spiels daily (even in phase 3). It will be regular updates, but absolutely not daily. (the "voice of Disney" would be hoarse by the end of the year!)

There could be prerecorded segments for different days. Like recording the fact that say Magic Kingdom has evening EMHs that night, and then if it does, the segment is put in. Same with parade times, firework times, and park hours.

This can be a good thing, if they do it right. It should not be too loud, and the info part should be only for trips to the parks, with nothing more than quiet background music on the way back to the resorts.
