Perfectly illustrates the concept. Of note is the colors that are being used throughout the FLE. Just amazing.

And once again proof that WDWMagic is THE site for WDW news. :sohappy:

That looks amazing!! I cannot wait to see it all done! I can already guess though that there will be a line of people every day just to get to the Be Our Guest when it is Quick Service :brick:

Fantastic. Just what I needed tonight! Cannot wait to cross that bridge on our way into BOGR!

Haters will always hate, but I think this is going to look spectacular.

I dont think anyone is disputing the fact that this project is going to look great, myself included. The problem is that it nets 1 new ride and restaurant. While any love for any of the parks is appreciated in my book, I just dont think this was the WOW that most expected. Especially since its also so very drawn out with a completion of 2014ish.

The net ride count is only increasing by one, but that's a very simple way of looking at this. More people will be able to experience the 3 rides that are being added (Dumbo, Dwarves, Mermaid) compared to the 2 that are being replaced (Dumbo, Snow White).

Another function of this is better access to Mickey, and the Princesses, both in the form of the new meet and Greets (Town Square Hall, Fairytale Hall, Be Our Guest Restaurant, Storytime with Belle).

Two restaurants, really. Although, is Gaston's Tavern going to share a kitchen with Be Our Guest?

That's one way to look at it.

Another would be that it's a wash if you consider that Mermaid is replacing 20k.
And of course there are multiple closed food locations around MK, so they aren't really gaining any food service (net).

Replacing 20K - that's a hoot. How much longer until it closes? I want to get that one last ride in.

If Frontierland ever gets around to adding an attraction, it won't add to capacity - but will just replace the Davey Crocket canoes and Mike Fink Keelboats, right? :p

Hey, a closed attraction is a closed attraction.
20k was closed, costing MK capacity, and was never replaced (despite assurances when it closed)...until now.

Simple as that...

Be careful, Lee. It's only a short step to shouting "Get off me lawn!" at random passersby.

Yep. Sounds like me.

One little note pertaining to food service...
I've been looking over some plans, and it appears that the FLE will be gaining an ice cream stand over near Villiage Haus. Oddly enough, named after a character from Hunchback, Clopin.

Oh, and a pretzel stand over by the Ariel M&G. (Don't know the name of that one...)

Maybe for our taste challenged forum members, Clopin will be kind enough to serve Strawberry Swirls. :lookaroun

Hey, any additional ice cream stands can only be a good thing. :king: Thanks for the word.

I'm sorry, I'm not aware of an attraction called 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea... oh wait you didn't spell out the name of the attraction? Crap.

I don't know what it is, but I never really got the same thrill as other fan boys out of 20K. I've said on multiple occasions that I'd rather wait less than 5 minutes to ride The Seas with Nemo and Friends than wait 30-45 minutes to ride The Nemo Submarine Voyage.

Having said that, your point is well taken, but I still see this as an increase to overall park capacity from the days when 20K existed. 20K and Snow White were lower capacity attractions, and since the closure of 20K some additional changes have increased capacity (either by putting more popular attractions in their place, or by additions):

Flying Carpets added to Adventureland
Barnstormer/Great Goofini added to Toontown/Storybook Circus
Legend of the Lion King to PhilharMagic
Mission to Mars/Alien Encounter to Stitch's Great Escape (Ok, that's one for you)
Dream Flight to Buzz Lightyear
Mr. Toad to Winnie the Pooh

Unless I'm missing something the only other substantial subtraction from that time period were the Mike Fink Keelboats and the Tomorrowland Stage.

The 15-20 time frame is somewhat disheartening, but I definitely prefer the attraction lineup today to the attraction lineup of the days of 20K leagues under the Sea, and it will be improved that much more after the expansion.
