I've actually just discovered the training video utilized by the TDO to train their performer...
At least this guy can keep his tail under control!

It's not the tail you have to worry about. At least this guy can keep his tail under control!
Aaaaand, here it is.

Once again I'll say that TDO expects that "rubes with wristbands" will accept anything.
Five years from now we will be talking about this excuse-for-a-character as a high point.
One can only imagine what tragedies lie ahead.
We have to stop looking at this through the eyes of WDW as it was...
... this is WDW 2014, where suck is standard.
Forget about the days of Declining by Degrees.
This is Decline by Design.

Just because it's a Disney Animated adaptation, doesn't necessarily mean it would have been good. Case in point- Chicken Little. I liked it, but many people point to that as one of the worst Disney films ever.
And you mention the Jungle Book, and yet that was just as much "inspired by" rather than "based on" as Frozen is to the Snow Queen. Remember, Walt's advice to the writers was "Do NOT read this book."
Holy crap, you like Chicken Little too? COMRADE!!!!!!
The leg thing is pretty common, but at least they could have put more effort into hiding them!
For example.
Same Here I really liked it..Mark Dindal's Movie's are hilarious (Cats Don't Dance & Emperors New Groove)
But, what I find interesting is that Disney has Two of the Same character..
The 1943 Version
And the 2005 version
That is what it looks like. I am so glad they did Space Hill with plastic bags and a grassy knoll before they built Space Mountain.Looks to me like the DAK version is simply a test to gauge crown reaction, staging etc before they consider something more elaborate.
IMO.
Not too unusual. They have two versions of Zeus- Fantasia and Hercules. Three if you count Marvel Comics. Also, two versions of King Arthur (Sword in the Stone and Gargoyles).
About a year ago while roaming around Dinoland, I thought of the same idea. It would certainly make sense. Disney has had all the full seasons on Netflix for a while now so I wouldn't think too many people have forgotten about this series (since the vast majority have Netflix). It's a childhood favorite of mine, and even as an adult it's hilarious. (So much adult humor that at times I feel like I'm watching a PG version of Family Guy.. with Dinosaurs!) Wish Disney would rebrand/reboot it for the next generation.I still think they should bring the Jim Henson Dinosaurs in Dinoland (Even if the show doesn't exist anymore)...It would make more sense than this mediocre thing..
Wha?
I hope it's something like this!
This is honestly one of the poorest displays of Imagineering and showmanship I've ever seen Disney put together...
WHY did TDO discontinue Lucky the Dinosaur for WDW anyway?
This is honestly one of the poorest displays of Imagineering and showmanship I've ever seen Disney put together (and I believe that's saying something). In no way does this look authentic. Maybe they were going for a, we searched movies from the early 1900's and used their design look, but this should embarrass every single Imagineer that's employed by Disney Parks.
Exposed straps and belt buckles, and the person moving it has a gigantic gut. Even that little kid in the Spider Man shirt thinks it's unbelievable and cheesy. This is a gigantic fail, albeit on a low level "attraction" (and I use that term loosely).
Win.It's call accountaneering...
Well, it seems someone has cut off Imagineering's balls. This is not an Imagineering project. Generated locally in FL.
Even more Arthurs if you count the various live-action versions Disney has done.
