Never in July at AS Music

 :brick: When I tell yoy vacation from H___ I mean it. We were awake every night all night. We had 641 kids from Brazil in our building. They played soccer all night down in front of Broadway. Skinny dipping, running through the food court knocking people down. Screaming and yelling when they came back from the parks and buying egga God only knows where and having egg fights. From the time we checked 7/13 till the day we left 7/22 it was constant. We called security on our cell phone because our phone never worked in our room the whole time. Called about that and they finally had a guy come the last day and he couldn't fix it. Finally to top everything one night our room keys didn't work. We were locked out 45 minutes until engineering showed up. I went to the front desk after enough is enough and complained and do you know they just wanted to give me fast passes to the park. We told them no and we should get something better than that. They finally gave us 2 nights back on my credit card. They knew this when we checked in because other people already had complained. Can anyone top this.

We just returned from ASMU . we were there from July 29 till Aug 5th and HAD NO Problems at all. Actually we were very impressed with our trip. WE usually stay in the POR and wanted to try the ASMU family suites. We had no trouble with any groups or noise during our trip at all. I think there may have been a group there but we really didn't even see them except once on the bus. We did see a large group that took up a bus and a half from MK to the All Star Sports. Other then that we didn't even see them .

I would have been Very upset and complained right away even with out a phone I would have walked to the front desk repeatedly . Where was security? I seen them countless times during the evening especially after 9PM.

We were at ASMO August 3-12 and had a few problems of our own. They messed up our reservations, had us in Standard room and moved us 3 times on the first day. We too had a few run in's with groups from Brazil and our phone didn't work either. The worst thing that happened to us was a bus fight involving mad Brazilians, hot coffee and lots of screaming "I DIDN"T F HER!" try ignoring THAT with a group of 16 children!

But, we didn't let that ruin our trip.

I am not looking for anything free. Even though something should be done. When you save all year and look forward to a vacation this is not acceptable. Disney is not a cheap vacation no matter which way you do it, Deluxe, Moderate or Value. They get enough money to have more security so these things don't happen. Well, today is the 15th and I am supposed to hear something. I only hope Disney doesn't disappoint me anymore. I will be in contact with news agencies if nothing is done.

It is 3:00 pm on the 15th. Disney was supposedto be in contact with me, and nothing. Does anyone have any suggestions what I should do to get an answer about my Vacation from Hell?

I think they were referring to the taser comment as being funny, not what happened to you! Dealing with the crap you had to deal with was definitely NOT funny. :(

Believe me you would not find it funny if this happened to you. Thousands of dollars wasted on a vacation from hell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was referring to the "Taser" comment - that's why I quoted it from an earlier page. Please don't jump to conclusions. I completely agree with everything you've had to say, and am very sorry your trip was ruined.

Thanks ;~)

No worries...I would be just as frustrated. It always seems like you need clout in this world to get things done. I work at a Domestic Violence Shelter and I get donations and ask for sponsorships from our larger companies in Green Bay...but I need the influencial (wealthy) people in our community to make the calls for me, as they get things done that I never could because of their connections.

Hopefully Disney will soon realize that taking care of the "little person" is just as important as taking care of those who spend quite a bit more at WDW. I'd say be patient, but that's just as frustrating....

Good luck:)

At 4:30 today I found a phone number for guest communications in Calif. I called asked if they had anything to do with WDW, she said no, took my complaint said she was going to get in contact with someone for me. Within 10 minutes I received a phone call fom a Joseph Paris. I explained to him calmly how unhappy we were on vacation. Well to make a long story short he said there was nothing he could do. Security did their best and they cannot evict these kids. Kids will be kids. Everything I told him he just said these happen and only 2% of the people that come WDW have a complaint. I explained to him all the years we have been coming since 1973 we never had a problem and I think it was taken care of poorly. He told me the next time we come and make our reservations to call him and he will make sure we are put in a quiet area. Do you think I was taken care of properly?

Hmmms...they managed to "evict" kids from DTD a few months back without any problems...I wonder what supposed restrictions - other than the almighty dollar - keep them from doing the same here...

No, I would follow up with whoever you contacted the first time and said that they would get back with you today. I would also contact the management direct of the Allstar Resort you stayed at. If you dont get any satisfactory attention to your complaint, then I would send a certified letter to Iger's office. Realize he wont respond, but it will make its way down to a higher lever person who will.

I want to thank everyone who contributed to this thread. The outcome wasn't what I anticipated but who ever wins with the big guys. I am really disappointed in Disney, but believe me I am not stopping here. I am writing a letter to Bob Iger, a letter to the newspapers down there and a few other big wigs with Disney. They probably will :brick: be thrown in the trash but you can't knock me for trying, sooooooooooooooooo Thanks Everyone:wave:  :(

I would keep calling your original contact and say it is now 8/16 and I was told I would get a call by 8/15 and ask to speak to a Manager, then ask for the Manager's boss and so on until you speak with someone who is listening and not just wanting to provide you with GREASE.... Don't let them hang up until you are satisfied. Don't give up and try to speak calmly to them and explain your frustration and that you were waiting for them to call you but they haven't and want to make sure your name didn't get lost in the shuffle somewhere. I know it is even more frustrating for this on top of your experience but ...don't settle and be persistent as I believe you are not alone. Good Luck!

Do what you need to do to put this past you. Just dont let it ruin future visits.

My wife and I ran into some problems on our honeymoone with a particular package that we booked. When we orriginally booked, the package included his and hers special edition watches. Well, about a month out, we noticed that all the information we had gotten showed the incorrect level of package that we wanted. (this I think due to communication issues between us and the CM. The CM had a very heavy (russian I think) accent.) Well, we caught it and called Disney back and they corrected the problem. This is the first time we dealt with the issue of when Disney corrects a package problem, they cancel the original package and start all over. Well, we didnt realize until we got to our honemoone suite and we got the package of "stuff" that the new package did not include the watches. My wife and I were both very dissapointed. Concierge services tried to track down a set of the watches but since they were Special Edition they could not put their hands on them. This kinda bummed my wife out for a couple of days, but we still focused on having a good time and did.

Disney is a big organization and Im suprised they dont screw up more stuff than they do. Howver, in these types of situations where its more of a lack of concern about how the majority of their guests feel about a certain situation that has an affect on "the magic" I think its definately worth a continued campaign of complaint.
