On the bottom of the release it states the opening dates.
Previews start on November 5th and the opening of the show is November 12. Thats some interesting news.

Yes..thanks for the heads up!

I am surprised to see this as a show attraction presented with puppet characters. I thought Disney was having difficulty with attaining the large pool they need to keep such shows going? It was my understanding that "Legend of the Lion King" was closed for this reason: not enough puppeteers in the World to keep it going?

I am not a big Nemo fan really...but i am totally into puppets of all types being a puppeteer myself. I now have to admit that this sounds like a show i will have to check out next year.....

I'm glad they're having so many singing parts. If this were a pre-recorded deal, I would imagine it wouldn't be nearly as good of a show. I'm really looking forward to this show.

if you want to know the real answer I'll tell you. it's true that the puppetters are a smaller group now. It's because a lot of them went on to better paying jobs. It has upset some of the more profetional puppeteers. The ones who actualy care about what they are doing that this is strictly equity. However There is specualtion and i have to agree with them, that characters like Mr. Ray, and the coral performers in teh background may go to cast puppetters, since they either are tracked parts or non speaking. It would make the show run better with a cheaper budget.

So is this a precursor to a possible broadway show like Tarzan?

The Tarzan musical isn't a possibility, it's already in previews on Broadway. It's opening in about a month I think.

Frankly, I'm not real excited for it though. I'm sure it's goin to have amazing acerobatics and stuff, but I hate Phil Collins' music.

well, if it's being done like Avenue Q, then many of the actors might end up playing multiple roles since you'll be seeing their faces on stage. Noone will be hiding behind like a chunk of seaweed. A show with puppets is actually way more emotional when it's doine this way. If you're even in NYC you should check out Q to see what i'm talking about.

I think what was meant by the question was that is it possible for Nemo to become a Broadway show, which I highly doubt.

The casting call does say it will be like Ave.Q where you will see the actors and not like the Little Mermaid show.

I also would recommend anyone in NYC to see Q, its a unique production and makes me more interested in seeing how the Nemo show is pulled off.
