OK so I planed out a nice week at the World for me and my girlfriend. Our trip is in 2 weeks. BUT she has just stoped talking to me. No phone calls or emails for a month now. We are in a long distance relationship btw. IM in Kentucky, she is in Texas. I have done everything I can to get her attention short of going to her house. But to no avail. Even her sister claims to not have a clue why she wont talk to me. So ok. The relationship is over. Im cool with that. But what about the trip?

I bought the vacation insureance, but it dosnt cover breakups. Plus I still want to go. Even if its on my own, though I would rather have someone with me. So what can I do? And what should I do? None of my friends are able to go due to work, or just no money on such short notice. So Im kind of stuck. Please give me some advice.

Just an update here. Still have not talked to the girl. Although her sister told me not to waste my time. But my mom has decided she can take the days off from work to go. So its me and my mom there to celebrate my 27th birthday! This is kind of my way of paying her back, for taking me lol. But again thank you to everyone. Your all great.

I'm sorry this happened - but at least you'll get to spend your birthday with someone you love, and who loves you!!

Sounds like the relationship was heading for the rocks (you had some warning) and IF she had went, she might have ruined the vacation. With Mom you know she is very appreciative of the trip and she loves you. :sohappy:
Good luck and have a blast. I would have gone alone if I had to. When I was 27 I treated myself to a European vacation for 7 weeks and had a BLAST.

I am happy it all worked out for you and your mom, what mom would not want to spend her son's birthday with him? Have a blast!

Was going to say Solo trips are really nice. But that is great your mom is going with you, you will both have a great time. I went on a trip with my mom several years ago and we had so much fun, went to the Luau (hadn't been in years) and she went to the concerts I had gone to Disney for. She was going to come on this trip with me (sort of inviting herself :) ) but just had surgery and wasn't sure how she would feel a month out. Told her that was ok, I will be fine and besides my hubby may need her help with our 3 kids.

Have a great time.

Yeah I actually would have been fine with a solo trip. I thought about it a lot and how much fun it could be by myself. And now Im planning for my next trip to be a solo one. Im thinking about going around Christmas as work is usually slow for me then. So a 4 or 5 day trip then wouldnt be too bad for me. Ill just have to make my reservations and start saving as soon as this trip is over. Which I was already planning on doing.

My mom loves theme parks. As a teacher she got to go to Universal every year for about 10 years when the school would have its senior trip. But they never went to Disney. She never got to take my sister and I when we were kids either. Something would always come up. But last year she finally "took" us. And we all had a blast. Except we had to stop every 20 minutes so my sister could smoke...

Thanks guys. I guess I should have worded my original post better. There is no way Im not going on this trip. And I have ADR`s for at least of the 2 nicer restaraunts every day Im there. So I will be eating good. I hope. Thank you free dinning.
My biggest problem honeslty is I decided to be cheap on the plane tickets and bought the non refundable ones. Honestly the last time I will ever do that. So to keep myself from being out too much money, Im going to fly to Laredo, and sit for a few hours at the airport before I leave for Orlando. Great. So I guess in the long run I will only be out what I paid for her plane ticket and her MNSSHP ticket. I guess thats not too bad.

Whats your MNSSHP night?

See about upgrading your park ticket to an annual pass. It'll possibly be cheaper than buying another MYW pass when you go back at Xmastime, and you may luck out and get an annual pass discount on the room as well.

Always look on the bright...side...of life...
