Need Help

My girlfriend and I are going down January 21-25th and staying at the Wilderness Lodge club level. We've been friends for 10 years and dating for 5, I think it's about time to take the next step. My question is, is there a way I can have flowers or chocolates in the room before we check in? I wanna makes this trip unforgettable. Any advice would be helpful and much needed.

Oh of course! They will certainly work with you to create that special moment. One option is WDW's florist. I believe that website is disneyflorist.com. I'm sure others will have some more suggestions. She sounds like one lucky lady! Congrats on deciding to take the next step. : )

Best idea is to let them know in the hotel ahead of time so "we" can try and make it as perfect as possible for you. 407-824-3200 is the number for Wilderness Lodge. Let them know the story and what you're planning on doing so we can help! That will ensure that things like flowers getting delivered before you check-in and everything will go nice and smooth. What ever you do though, DO NOT ADD ENGAGEMENT AS A CELEBRATION ONTO YOUR RESERVATION! I have heard many a horror story about engagements that were accidentally ruined at check-in my CMs making congratulations remarks and spoiling the surprise. As far as flowers and chocolates and things, the disney florist is definitely the way to go. They do some beautiful things (albeit expensive). Also keep in mind as you are staying Club Level reach out to the Concierge Staff to assist you with this. Their number is 407-824-2466 at th Wilderness Lodge. They should also be able to assist you with any sit down dining reservations, tours, etc that you might be thinking of. I hope this is helpful, and have a great time!!! Marie

I would definitely reach out to the Concierge Staff. I believe that since you are staying club level, they can ensure your room in advance. Typically they don't like to deliver things to the room until you have checked in. Just in case they need to change rooms for some reason, they don't want your surprise to get to someone else. The concierge should be able to help work around that with you.

Thanks again everyone for your help. I'm still in the planning stages, I think I'm going to do something from the Disney florist. I plan on calling the concierge at the Wilderness Lodge after the holiday.

Are you planning on popping the question as soon as you get there?

Only reason I'm asking is that, while of course I'm rooting for you to get the answer you want, if you're going to do it as soon as you get there...better know for sure she'll say yes. That's the sort of thing that may put a damper on the rest of your trip. 5 years dating, it's a safer bet than most, but still, if you make it the night before departure or at least later on in the trip, you not only don't run that risk, but you leave her guessing when, if at all, the question gets popped.
