Need help w/ redeeming ticket vouchers please

Hello all. Its been a while since I have visited the forums. I am planning a quick disney trip this coming weekend and I need some advice. I got free disney tickets during a volunteer opportunity. The program is called "give a day get a disney day". Anyhow, I have the vouchers for myself and all those in my party. I know these tickets can be redeemed at any ticket window in front of the parks, where you would present your photo i.d. etc. However, I coworker of mine went down last weekend, and when she showed up at 9am in front of magic kingdom, she waited over an hour in the ticketwindow line, and didnt even enter the park until almost 10:30. I dont want to have to go through that nightmare, especially since there are young kids included in my party.
I am planning on arriving at fort wilderness on friday around 9pm. On Saturday we are going to magic kingdom as early as possible to avoid as much trouble as we can. Where my question comes into play is, is there any ticket offices in disney that are open late where I could redeem my vouchers the night before, so it won't be such a headache in the morning, maybe the TTC??? how late are these ticket offices open? Or should I just get some rest, and try to get to the ticket windows at 8am when they open? I cant imagine having too much trouble if I simply show up at 8:30 or so and redeem the vouchers, but my friend says it was nuts last weekend as it is around spring break time. I'm thinking on saturday morning the quickest way to get over to MK from fort wilderness would be the water boat, let me know if that is correct as well if you would. I appreciate any and all help, THANKS

I believe if you are staying at a WDW resort, you can add your tickets (by voucher) to your KTTW Card (room key) upon check-in. I've done this before and it has by and far been the most convenient. I don't see why the promotional vouchers would be any different.

You can also go to customer service at Downtown Disney, I know they are open late and you can trade in your vouchers there. They are located by Gheradeli I do belive.

Have a good time

We were there last month and I had my give a day voucher that I was planning on using towards an upgrade. I asked to do it at the concierge counter after checking in at the Animal Kingdom Lodge and I was told that they cannot exchange the vouchers or upgrade them there, that it had to be done at the will call window of one of the parks.

The line at the MK was long, but it moved pretty quick as they had a bunch of windows open. We had our 2 year old with us and it was raining, so I totally understand your need for finding a quicker way to do this, but unfortunately if what I was told was correct, you will just have to suck it up and get there early!

If it's a busy day, you might have a faster time at the TTC than at the Magic Kingdom itself. At the MK, the windows are combo ticket/Guest Relations windows, so you never know how long some of the transactions could take. And if there's only a few windows open, you're in for a long wait.
At the TTC, they have many more windows that could potentially be open.

We will have vouchers when we go also and I was told the tickets have to be used the day you redeem the voucher. Does anyone know if this is true? I was also thinking of redeeming them the day before so we wouldn't wait all morning in line.

Cami, mine says that too, however I will be showing up at the ticket booth at 9 pm or later. So I was hoping Disney with their superb customer service skills could find a way to do it :). If not i'll have to deal with it. Those of you that mentioned maybe using the ttc or customer service in downtown disney... do you happen to know their hours of operation? I couldn't find TTC hours on line for the life of me. I think i'll give it a try at one or 2 of these places, and if it doesnt work thats fine, Ill just get up early for the ticket windows. Those of you that mentioned the TTC, was that if it was the night before only? I dont know that going in the morning would help us out because, because of transit time. But in the case it does make sense, could anyone tell me the easiest way to get from fortwilderness lodge to TTC. But, if I do indeed have to wait until morning, my gut tells me it is best just to take the fairy over to MK and get in the ticket window lines.
Sorry to make such a simple question so difficult, its just we only have one day down there and kids get tired quick so I dont want them exactly wasting their energy waiting in long line before we even get in. My plan was to get in early, get some stuff done. Go back to the hotel in the afternoon so they can nap.... than come back for the parade, fireworks and maybe a ride or 2. I thank everyone for all of their help!

Going to try and get the tickets the night before is a waste of your time. Just go like everyone else to the Will Call Window. You MUST use the ticket the day you redeem the voucher. It's not a matter of customer service, it's the fact that the ticket will be dated and valid by the computer for the day you redeem the ticket ONLY.

You don't want to spend a bunch of time in line but really, you're just going to wind up waiting twice. The night before they'll tell you they can't do it.

It's the same as the Birthday tickets last year. You HAD to get it on THAT day and you HAD to wait in the Will Call line. Not only that but they were UNABLE to process Birthday tickets at Downtown Disney. It HAD to be at the main gate of one of the four parks.

Just plan on getting to the Will Call Window as early as possible and wait like everyone else.

Black Out Days On Volunteer Vouchers

My wife and I also have vouchers to redeem. Does anyone know exactly what the black out restrictions are on these vouchers? If any at all!

I just completed my volunteer opportunity last night (which was working an elephant walk for a children's museum and very interesting). Any way I haven't received my redemption code yet, but after you print out the voucher are you able to redeem the ticket at your resort hotel?

We are staying at Pop, so the day we want to redeem the ticket can we redeem it at Pop or at the park only?

Thanks!

Not Give a Day vouchers. Almost anything else, yes, but Give a Day is only redeemable at the parks. The lines move pretty quickly.

I just got back from my trip. I wanted to confirm that what most of you said was in fact correct. I was not able to redeem the vouchers at the hotel. However I showed up to MK ticket booths at 8:30 and waited <10mins to redeem my voucher, they were doing an excellent job. Just wanted to post in case there was still any doubt. They did a excellent job handling the springbreak crowds this weekend both at the ticket booth and the park in general. I also wanted to add a comment for FL residents. If you do have the give a day get a day voucher you can add days. For just 20 dollars I was able to have 3 additional days 1park/day. They have to be used by june 25th and there are some black out days. But I figure if you go just once it is worth it. Just wanted to let it be known because the CM did not tell me... I just happened to ask about upgrades, but maybe I asked before she could tell.
