Two young men, one has turned twenty one 3 month ago, his friend celabrated his birthdayn the day before there trip to las Vegas. On the drive in there 1971 pinto through death Vally the car dies at one AM in the morning. Having packed a few bottles of water they decide to walk and find help. As they start their trip early morning it is not extremely hot, but it was a moonless night they soon wander off the road in deep into the desert. by Ten Am the next day the sun is beating down on them and water is running out. by noon there out of water. Late that after noon they see off in the distance a small rock formation rising from the desert floor, they decide to walk towards it. As the two young men get closer they see smoke drifting from what looks like a cave opening some twenty feet up the face of the rock. As they make it to the stone rise it is indeed a cave with a rope ladder hanging from it to the ground. They climb and instantly are engulfed with a joy full feeling from aroma of the smoke drifting out from within. As the peer down they see a flickering light from deep inside, with out hesitation they two move forward. Some 75 feet in the cave opens up to a large room, in the room is a small fire and a pot of purplish gold liquid simmering on top. one half naked man sits in front of the pot, dips a wooded label into the the churning liquid and motions it towards the boys. They drink and Walt Disney new Ride, Navi River Rides begins.

That is impressive.

They should just turn Na'vi River Journey into part of FoP's queue preshow.

That way you journey down the glowy river to get to the lab.
A skipper telling puns maybe? I believe the Jungle Cruise started out with a serious tone. That never really worked, so the humor took over.

'Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen. I'm your na'vigator today and I'll be telling bad jokes until I'm blue in the face...'

I wish that they'd let the Skippers go back to having more improvisational leeway with their spiels. From what I understand, the snark started out organically and then grew into the defining aspect of the ride. While some jokes would need to stay because they're classic (back of water), if they hire the right Skippers, every ride could be a different experience. There are lots of talented improvisers, though I wonder at that point if they'd be pressured to hire them as entertainers, rather than the much-less-expensive ride operators. A buddy of mine has been an entertainer at Disney for over a decade as his full-time job. He started out doing Turtle Talk and then was hired for the original cast of Laugh Floor, where he's been ever since. He's not rich, but I know he's making much more than the hourly workers in the parks.

I have several problems with the ride

1.) It's WAY too short
2.) The capacity is lower than it should be, meaning the lines are longer and people are less happy about the short ride after waiting a long time
3.) It suffers from the same issue that the rest of the land suffers from....an IP that didn't resonate that well beyond the short time it was in theaters and doesn't give the same "OMG I'm seeing what I've waited for so long to see in person" kind of thing you get with HP, Star Wars, CarsLand, etc. Flight of Passage saves the land, and is a great ride despite it's IP which could have been anything similar.
4.) It is mostly a technology showcase, it should feel more organic but it doesn't (but that could be just me)
5.) I thought the Na'vi lady was putting a curse on me (ok, not really)

Sadly the way they staff now there's literally zero thought put into who would be good for what role or what attraction. It's all about staffing need and the turnover is so high with college program that it's just not feasible anymore. I remember when GMR had a 2+ year waiting list to transfer and you had to audition. By the end the only requirement was that you had a pulse.

That's really sad to hear.
