The creative team is being assembled for this. It is planned for California Adventure and, if successful, it will be cloned.

Just curious as to where you got this information...

Although I haven't seen it (yet) I hear that the Aladdin show is fantastic and draws big crowds. Has attendance been falling off for this show? If so, then it might be the venue for Narnia (if the rumor is true).

Overall, the Aladdin show is the best production I've ever seen in a Disney park -or any theme park for that matter. Also, as recent as last summer it was still packing in full-house crowds. My family said that show was worth the price of admission to DCA alone. I'd love to see a show on that scale come to one of our Orlando parks. (I'd suggest maybe it is time for B&TB at MGM to end its run and enclose that theater... but then again, do we really need another major attraction on Sunset Blvd?

I'd be very surprised if Aladdin folds for a new Narnia show. The Aladdin show is the best live show in any of the parks as far as I'm concerned. The production values are through the roof and nothing comes close, except for maybe Festival of the Lion King at AK.

If the rumor is true, aren't they thinking of moving Whoopi's movie from the San Francisco location towards the front of the park?? Could the new show perhaps go in that building? Just wondering aloud.

Keep in mind we don't even know where the source is coming from. It's odd that someone's first post be two sentences long, not naming a source, and not having any real credibility behind his name. You can speculate where it's going to go as much as you want but at this point I wouldn't believe a Narnia Stage Show is coming until we hear it from a better source.

Since rumors are going to be starting about Narnia taking Aladdin's place...

I love the Aladdin show. It's my favorite stage show anywhere. Period. I've seen shows on Broadway that weren't even close to the Aladdin show; it's that good. If they got rid of Aladdin it would be one of the dumber things they decided to do.

If, and that is a HUGE IF, any of this is true... I would see this going into the Fantasyland Theater due to the fact that is has been dark and it would fit in very well with that area. Oh I could see it now you walk thru the wardrobe to get into the theater.....that would be COOL!!!

I don't know, maybe Lasseter doesn't have as much power and control as it seems, but word is that he's going to be taking part in some retheming and helping DCA find it's base. Now I don't think plopping down a generic Disney stage show is going to do a lot in Big John's eyes to help DCA find its identity, which will surely be one of his major goals at Imagineering.

I think anything is possible for DCA right now. There are supposedly plans for major redos of sections of the park, starting with the entrance. It was suppose to start this month, but looks like it has been pushed back some so they can finalize plans and let the dust settle from John coming on board.

As for a Narnia show, I guess the Backlot would be the best section, but remember there are other places there than the Hyperion Theater (where Aladdin shows). There are two large soundstages sitting there right now. There is the old Millionaire building and a large food court that was closed a while back and recently walled off. There had been rumors last fall of a Narnia meet and greet in the Millionaire building, but that never came to pass.
