If they do build a new land, I'd like somthing original and somthing that fits the AK theme better. What I think would work could be like a combo of Mysterious Island and Beastly Kingdom. Like for the JTTCOTE ride, maybe instead of going through the center of the earth it could be through a dragon's cave and you get attack by the dragon at some point. That would be original and awesome.

They don't cover complete cost of design, construction, etc... Sponsorship, depending on the level, covers a small portion of expenses related to an attraction.

For example: Disney might have designed, engineered, and built Test Track on their dime, but the millions that GM pays each year might cover all expenses related to operation of the attraction for the year.

I'm making that example up, but you get the picture.

It's not so original if you replace the word "dragon" with "yeti". :lookaroun

Well thats garbage, they should cover the construction AND the yearly expenses. Disney should cover the design phase imo.

Most companies don't have $100 million available for what basically amounts to an advertising budget.

When Disney is the one that receives direct income in relation to an attraction, they're going to bear the brunt of cost associated with development.

Otherwise I'd go start a park, find a bunch of companies to give me a cool $100 mil each, and then have a giant park full of nothing but e-tickets.

Even if MI is built AK still needs a dragon. A duplicate of "The Dragon's Den" from DLP under the Tree of Life if space is there or elsewhere would do it for me. Not that Dragon Tower would have been better, but you get the idea.

As and when something similar to JTTCOTE and 20K is built at DAK don`t expect the same lavish show building; Orlandos is meant to only be seen from one angle. Also expect a staggered construction and opening period.
Another Expedition Everest then? At least it won't be seen from the parking lot or BB (I think)

I think it's garbage that Disney relies on sponsorship at all. It's because of sponsorship that WoL is now just a "special events" pavillion, it's because of sponsorship that SSE's postshow was boarded up for so long, etc. These are Disney's attractions, they and they alone should be responsible for them.

I understand that Disneyland was basically built on sponsorships, but that was a very different and much poorer WDC.

Disney should, in all respects, set aside about 300+ million and build Mysterious Island and Beastly Kingdom in Animal Kingdom as seperate lands. Chances are, hell will freeze over before that happens.

I would rater see MI go in the MK.

Get Rid of Toon town: Move rides and expand animation section in DHS and make a place where you can always meet characters somewhere else in MK like maybe Tom Sayers Island.

Then use Toon Town area and the 20K empty lot to make mysterious island!

I would mostly prefer something new for DAK. Mainly for selfish reasons as I am planning to go to Tokyo so I would like to see the real TDS and Mysterious Island there.

Yea put Mysterious Island in MK and the new land for AK could be Beastly Kingdom.

With this and the Beastly Kingdom rumors, there's only one way to find a direct and true response.

I'll just e-mail Rhonda Kendall...
