It worked pretty will sometimes my touch would not respond but the nice Guest Relations CM helped me out on that. Overall a very easy process to make FP+ reservations the day of! The only issue I had is I asked a few CM at FP+ entrances wheres the nearest kiosk was so I can edit the time or change experiences and they all didn't know. Sadly in this months test they didn't put a Kiosks at every FP Location that used FP+ so it wasn't easy to change times or change experiences without using the mobile app.
Thanks! Sounds like at least the kiosk situation works well, if only they get more of them. Surely CMs will be better informed the more they are exposed to the system and learn the questions most guests have.

Your welcome! I think I saw a bug on the system tho I noticed when I went to the second check point at Jungle Cruise it went green for me but the on the screen instead of it saying my name it asked the CM why my access was granted though that was interesting. However I also think that might of been from the Last Guest as the CM don't seem to be clearing the screen notice on the other side it still shows someone FP+ from 3:29.

Hmmm, weird but interesting to see how the new system will handle Rider Swap and GAC. Haven't seen much discussion about Rider Swap, but it seems fairly simple. I am still kind of indifferent about all of it, because I always like to withhold judgement on new technology and products (which, even though very large and complex, is exactly what this is) until I have actually used it. Maybe us AP holder/DVC member hybrids can use it soon - if I saw a test was coming up, I might even go down for a weekend just to see. Maybe during Food and Wine...*crosses fingers*

OK so something that I havnt seen covered here yet, and I believe I might be the first person to do this during the test so far. We leave for our trip at midnight tonight. I have made our FP+ selections for my wife and niece. We are traveling with my parents brother and his gf. They have not made FP+ selections yet. I called a few days ago to see if they could get the same fp+ times that we have and was informed that I could get that taken care of at the front desk when we check in. I will keep you informed of what happens. I thought I would share this because I know that some people make different trip reservations but travel together on trips.

Had an interesting experience yesterday. I previously renewed my AP online and received an exchange certificate which I was able to load into MDE and make FP+ reservations. Yesterday upon arrival at Epcot I received my new AP at the ticket booth with confirmation from the CM that it would work with the MagicBand for park entrance. Magic Band did not work to enter the park so I had to use the AP card. Spent about 40 min at guest relations with 3 different CM's who explained that that AP's were not being used for this part of the test and they were unable to load it to my MDE account. They weren't sure if the FP+ reservations that I had previously made would still work as they could not see them on my account since the exchange cert was no longer valid. A this point I'm not very happy but I said thanks for trying and this is why we are testing this so no big deal. Walked to Canada, got a moosehead sat down and tried to load my new AP through the IPhone app and it worked on the first try. All of my original FP+ ressies were still there. This is still very much a work in progress and there are many kinks to be worked out. I get the idea that this isn't very close to a full rollout. I like the functionality of it as I am a techie at heart but this has the potential to be vey troublesome for some.

Do they not have tickets yet? If they have tickets you link your accounts together on My Disney experience and then you can make FP+ Reservations for the whole group.

My Disney Experience is designed to allow you to do this all on your own. You are not limited to the people on your reservation, all you have to do is link your friends' accounts in Family and Friends (works sortof like Facebook), and have them check the "Can Add and View All" option. Then you can make reservations for them, copy your reservations to their accounts, etc.

We tried that and it wouldnt work. this was the next best option that they gave me. THe reservations are linked but will not show on our My Disney Experience pages. not sure why.

I was able to do more FP+ testing today with Epcot! Approached the FP+ Kiosk and the Touch Point gave me the green light but the kiosk did nothing no matter how many times I tapped my band. Tried another Kiosk that one worked but it later froze so I was forced to go to a third one that worked! On the fly around 5:00 time frame I was only able to book Test Track other experiences I did where just for fun. All Touch Points worked correctly and only two CM welcomed me by Name all others just waved me though after the green light came on it's been fun testing it tho I've been liking the new system a lot.

I'm going to WDW in December, do you think I'll be called to do testing or will the mymagic+ already be available? I did notice on my account on WDW that I have the option to link tickets and design custom magic bands. If I purchase my tickets now, will I still get the option to do this? And will it work? Has anyone tried it before?

It's unknown! If Disney is interested in having you test the MyMagic+ you should be able to click the Customize MagicBands and it should allow you to order them now without tickets. However only official testing right now is people staying in August.
 
Back from my trip. Had a good time with the bands. Nothing really bad to say about it other than the FP+.

Negatives:
Can't duplicate FP+
Stuck to only 3 FP+ per day @ one park

Positives:
-Can put a credit/debit card on the band with your own custom PIN so that if you lose your band they cannot charge it.
-Had a lot of staffs who worked there told us their experiences with it, it was all positive.
-If we went swimming at the hotel resort, we didn't have to bring a key card, we just swam with our bands on and bands opened our doors.
-light, and convenient, didn't have to reach into pocket or wallet to get card out, always was on hand. so I didn't have to hold a FP ticket in line, i just had my band.
-The FP+ reservations for shows, ie, Illuminations, Wishes Fireworks, Fantasmic, the reserved seatings for the FP+ was amazing. (When I was at Wishes in DMK, we were seated on the grass at the Rose Garden near the bridge to Tomorrow land from Main street, there was about 30 people in a large grass, while everybody else stood outside and stand)

I can go on and on with the positives, I had a great time with them, other than my small negatives.

EDIT: Also, on my bands we used our "middle names" which were different from our purchase package which we used our first names... Our hotel got my middle name Kevin mixed up with my first name Txhua, and on our arrival date our bands wouldn't open the door, thankfully they still gave us the "key to the world card" which opened for us, as we went back to concierge later that evening to be easily fixed.

Thanks you for answering! This is a very confusing situations and I really wish it would become available for everyone to use but I understand that they really want to test this out so it can be launched without a problem. Hopefully it's soon!

Just called the internet services help desk. I checked today and got the screen to book FP+ (hadn't been able to before) and when I clicked something it seized and logged me out, then it was gone. It was a glitch they told me and lots had been having similar troubles. The woman I spoke to said my trip, end of Sept, no one has been selected for testing yet but that if this Aug round of testing goes well, the plan is to roll it out to everyone by when my trip hits. So, take that for what it's worth, but she seemed positive about it. She said 2 weeks is all they need to get everyone their bands. So I'm not overly optimistic, but thought I'd share.

How long before your trip do they contact you to let you know that you have been chosen to participate in the test on average?

I hope they r doing testing for November because I really want to be able to pick my FP before hand so I don't have to waste all my end grey running around the parks anymore!

I can now see online that both my Pop reservation and my ticket (a UT ticket) that I scanned through the MDE app are there under my name. See what you can see under the "My Reservations" section online within the My Disney Experience link.

I don't have any physical tickets and on the app it doesn't show any tickets, on my email confirmation I hav tickets but it doesn't show any on the app??? All the app shows is my hotel my free dining and my ADRs???
