Helpdesk?!?! How many here like calling any IT for help? This is going to be a huge failure, even though Disney is going to make it happen.

does anyone know if anyone buying their passes @ check in is ever included in this? we are @ BLT in 2 weeks, but we buy our passes when we check in.
still hoping theres a slim chance we get included in the test, but not holding my breath.
then again, i also assume they include BLT with the Contemporary....but i could be wrong there.
thanks for the response...i knew it had been in some earlier rounds...hoped because of the contemporary it may still. ah well...BLT is currently not in the test. Only regular resort reservations that are non-DVC are available at the moment.
We are going in 3 weeks and I was just on the dining pages. I can reserve a FP for lunch at Be Our Guest.

WDW: Touch-to-Pay System Outage (Aug. 6, 2013)
Please, note the following advisory affecting the new Touch-to-Pay system at the Walt Disney World Resort:
_________________________________________________________________________
Currently, Touch-to-Pay outages are being experienced across the Walt Disney World Resort property. Impacted locations include a majority of Merchandise, Food & Beverage, and Recreation locations. All the locations experiencing outages will just go back to the old system for today, with Cast Members manually swiping the Guests' Key to the World cards.
Guests with MagicBands will be required to show their Key to the World card. If a Guest with a MagicBand did not carry their Key to the World card, Cast Members will request an alternative form of payment.

We will keep you informed if there should be any additional news on the subject. Stay tuned.

Was this planned?
If not, then for all those saying "I can just leave my wallet in my room and just use my band", that's not going to be the case - if it goes down often, then people are going to need to carry around a second form of payment. And if this affects DDP, then for that family of 10 that left their wallets in their rooms that were going to use their free table service credits at a place that requires a $10 deposit per person, it's no longer going to be fun...
A little confused. Are those only picked for the test seeing FP+ options pop up on their MDE app? We are going on November and are not fully paid yet and was wondering where everyone Is seeing the FP+ options on the app?
I'm not getting any special FP+ options either. I'm 75 days out so outside the window for booking FP+.
This is a test period. Anybody that assumes that everything is going to go perfectly during the test deserves what he gets.Exactly. I never understood the people who said they would be able to leave their wallet in their hotel room and just wear their band. I don't think I ever leave the house without my wallet, which would contain my license (ID), health insurance card, some cash, etc. Even if I was just going from hotel to park.
The NextGen thing is clearly turning into a huge debacle, but even in the best of circumstances, systems can go down, there can be power outages, or some other emergency or unplanned situation. It's always a good idea to bring an ID and some cash wherever you go.

Though with 2+ billion dollars you would think they would come up with a way to figure out my age from my wristband, just like all the other stuff they already know about me.I still like the idea of the wristband but would never just leave my wallet in the room. You need your ID to buy a beer.

I'm sure they CAN tell the age of the person associated with the MagicBand. However, I have yet to hear of them capturing an image to place on the MagicBand or associated in their system. So how would they know that the person with the MagicBand is the person who's MagicBand it is?Though with 2+ billion dollars you would think they would come up with a way to figure out my age from my wristband, just like all the other stuff they already know about me.
