That was the "pond" side of Palavas les Flots (near Montpellier). In the past we’ve usually stayed in a campground in Palavas but with my DD’s BF with us, I found a campground in Sete that was better suited to us (mobile home with 2 bathrooms/showers). Here is a couple of photos from the beach today:

Looks very nice. I had to look up where it is though! Google maps to the rescue! Camping in a mobile home with more than one bathroom is my idea of camping, no tents for me. I was done with that in my teens.
