Hi my name is Lauren, addicted since 2000. Always wanted to go to WDW for as long as I can remember but life happened and prevented my family from going a number of times. Finally got to go for my 16th birthday and have been addicted since. Haven't gone without at least one visit (if not two) since 2006. My husband and I haven't even had a chance to go together yet, but he's already accepted the idea of buying into DVC. We'll be going together for the first time this December- can't wait!

I have always loved Disney and went quite often growing up. But I did not become addicted until we brought my daughter when she was two! Now we love taking our kids and are going again this summer! :sohappy:

We're the Clift family and we fell in love with Walt Disney World three years ago when we took our first family trip there. Now we are always planning our next trip, searching the WDW sites and we recently did our son's bathroom in Mickey. We're addicts and love it!!!

2011 - 9 days planned

We can't wait for the year 2020 :lol:

I remember doing a huge school report about Walt Disney, and Disneyland and WDW when I was in the 5th grade. It would be another 3 years before I actually got to visit a park, though.

When I was 5 I learned to read from these great big Disney storybooks, each with a different color cover (one of which was all about Disneyland).
It was about that age when I started having Small World nightmares.

Most of my relatives live down south so every summer we would spend three or four days at the world. Did this untill 1984 then we stopped going. My next trip was with my own family in 2002 and got my daughter on board with my addiction.:sohappy: 1976 was the first year that I really remember. My parents tell the the first time we all went was 1972 though. I was only one.

I told him we could not afford Disney and he told me that he and the DD were going and if wanted to join them i could..if not stay home. My name is Rachel, and I have been an addict for 5 years. I have my sister and her husband to thank! I'd been to WDW when I was very young, maybe twice, with the last trip at the age of about 13.

Then, in 2006, my sister and her hubby planned a family trip and invited my dd and I, and we stayed (off property in a rented house in Windsor Hills) for 8 days, and THAT WAS IT. I was hooked, having all the extra time to explore and see things, and having excellent guides with us, made ALL the difference. We've been back 6 times (I think) since, and REALLY am hoping for another trip in the fall.

Last Oct, I took my dd, 15, and her two friends (ages 17 and 23, who had NEVER been).

I'm Don and I guess I became an addict around 1992. That was after 4 trips to WDW and 3 to DL. Strangely the addiction didn't take hold till then. My mother actually fell in love with the place and we always went with my parents, but it was around every 18 months or longer. Then my daughter was born and the trips started getting closer together. The older my daughter got, and the deeper my mom got her Disney hooks into her the worse it became. The entire family got brainwashed. It is now a family tradition to go every year. In fact it's the only place my daughter wants to go! "Do you want to take a trip out west to see the rest of the country and national parks"? "Why, I can ride BTM and go to Frontierland if I want to see the west". How about taking a trip to see the UK or Europe? "I can go to World Showcase, the countries are there". :shrug:
How do you fight logic like that?

Hi Don, Yes I'm from England, but wish I lived in Florida! Yes the World Showcase is a good place to go to see the world, I feel like I've seen it all! I don't need to go anywhere other than WDW. I even like the UK pavillion as it's good to see the old fashioned telephone boxes, these no longer exist in the UK, although I suppose you may find the odd one in small towns.

In April 1981, when I was 6 months old, my parents took me amd my sister who 9 years old to Fort Wilderness to stay in the Wilderness Homes. We have done that ever since on an annual basis. Now that I am married with my own daughter, we still do this at least once a year.
