As I stated previously, dummy accounts won't make a difference as you will either have to have existing ticket media linked to your account along with a resort reservation to book 60 days out or book in the park with your ticket day of

The thread of this conversation was about speculating when/if that requirement didn't exist. I think that requirement will be far too restrictive for Disney's rollout for the first 2-3 years. There are far too many legitimate scenarios for loyal customers that will be excluded if they do that. To do so.. would be a bonehead move on Disney's part. But hey.. it seems like that is what they seek out lately.

This has changed and is no longer accurate. I'm doing a beta test in 2 days and I definitely have FPs booked for all 3 mountains.

What did you have to choose from when you were making your reservations? Was it possible to have any combination of 3 attractions?

This sounds promising, and something I would prefer over the way the previous tests worked. If this is how it rolls out though, those E ticket FP's are going to go quick...

Well after reading all 40 pages again... It seems to me that the majority of people here are /sarcasm on "ALL FOR FP+, and LOVE IT"... /sarcasm off It seems Disney and TDO did a awesome thing that everyone is truly happy and excited to use.

I could choose from anything that has FastPass already and yes they could be grouped and rearranged to any time of the day based on availability. I chose to just toss them all in during the middle of the day. That way I'm not stuck at the park until late evening and can spend it relaxing at my resort instead. I also get to sleep in.

So did they go ahead as change the tiered ride groups? Is it now a free for all??? Would love it if someone doing new testing would elaborate on the changes going on recently...

I hope this is true!

Thanks for the update. I do wonder if this will be possible when this goes live ... whenever that may be because the intent is for it not to be, to spread crowds around by having FPs for things like Aladdin spinner, PoC and Small World that have no need. Will be interesting to watch this all play out.

Do you know if Georgie K is playing guest too again?

FP's @ only one park per day to me is the one sore point that I have so far with the whole "+" system. We pretty much park hop each and ever day while @ The World.

We park hop, also but by the time we got a fast pass then traveled all over that park, then came back to use the fast pass....we would travel to another park and do the same thing....then come back to that ride later and it was almost dinner time! And that's only 2 or 3 fast passes in that day...and ALOT of walking around. I'd rather stay in the park and have 3 fast passes ready and waiting for me electronically at ONE park...use em up....then float over to another park to spend the rest of the day waiting in a few lines. It's only fair. We can't have fast passes for everything...lol.
At least this way, I'm not losing any time with the footwork involved using the old passes (ie; walking to the ride, picking up a fast pass, then waiting for a few hours, traveling all over the park, then coming back in the afternoon to ride 1 thing....) I dunno...pros and cons either way. I just try to keep positive....hoping, I guess, for the best for our trip in August! :)

I doubt they would alter something before it even goes live just to alter it again back to a previous iteration once it goes live. My guess is they're banking on the lack of common sense of the general public to book useless FPs thus balancing it out for people who actually know what they're doing.

Perhaps, but I think the lack of common sense will have less of an impact when the best rides are spelled out in black and white in front of them and FPs for all mountains doesn't require them to walk from one end of the park to another. I like that the groupings are no longer there, but I really have to wonder how this will play out in the real world when capacity is limited.

They're still doing at least one more test after this (I think in October/November), so I would not be surprised to see them do something less restrictive than the tiered attraction approach but more restrictive than the free for all in this test.

From an inside source at WDW:

FP+ in a Nutshell:
-60 days from arrival, plus 10 days with resort reservation like dining. Guest selects park. Then their three preferred experiences (attractions, food, spectaculars, activities) and then the MyDisneyExperience (MDX) gives up to four groups (early, mid, late, all day) of their choices and/or substitutions. There will be activities that are FP+ only - no standby option. The immediate party then has the same set of FPs and from there the Guest can modify individuals if they want different experiences/times. You can also then copy with friends not traveling in the same reservation or under control of/created by the primary.
-One park per day.
-No paper (legacy) FP.
-Same FP return policies. Must return within time window, five minute early and fifteen minute late grace period.
-Guests can modify their park up until their first FP+ is used in park. Then they can only modify within that park.
-No MDX account or valid park tickets? No FP+. MDX allows legacy ticket conversion for some tickets by keyed in information and now barcode via camera. Partially redeemed tickets must have at least one day. Once converted, cannot be transferred. (This attaches demographics to tickets that wouldn't and encourages buying tickets directly from Disney. This won't completely devistate the 192 scalpers, but is aimed at them.)
-Special event tickets do not count at this time (nomenclature change from 'hard ticket' since most tickets are now hard...)
-FP+ downtimes are still being hammered out.

Low tech or no tech? Reservation Center can help, but they are being instructed to actively teach the Guest how to do this on their own by accessing the account via proxy. Front line cast actively encouraged to ask Guest to use their device (iDevices and Android) to show Guests how to do it themselves.

MagicBands:
-Nine Colors (Red, Blue, Green, Pink, Yellow, Orange, Iconic Gray, and NEW Purple...)
-Shipped to Guest's address (WORLDWIDE) within thirty to ten days of arrival.
-Shipped to resort if within nine days of arrival.
-Guest gets Iconic Gray if within five days of resort reservation arrival.
-MagicBands for non-resort or year long passes being determined.
-Replacement MagicBands will be Iconic Gray.
-MagicBands costs Disney roughly $4.50 each to produce, there's a world-wide shortage of RFID due to the 20k being produced daily.
-Waterproof, doesn't float.
-Three year battery, can be disabled.
-Multiple ticket entitlements can be loaded onto the MagicBand. No Tables in Wonderland or Cirque du Soleil at the moment.

Annual Passholders:
-First replacement MagicBand is free, $50 afterwards or RF plastic card alternative.
-Same FP+ rules (can book FP+ sixty days out, one park only, three selections, etc.)
-Benefits and discounts will be on a separate RF enabled card.
-Will have the ability to add a credit card to their MagicBand similar to Key to the World currently.

Parking/Toll Plaza:
-Touch Points have been added to verify resort and year long passes.

In Park Kiosks:
-Guest Relations in parks will have terminals for same day, same park FP+ and MDX registration.
-Sid's is likely closing and converting over for this.
-Old WorldKey booths by Epcot's lobby will be one location.
-MK is already open at Town Square Theater (Old Disney Visa location.)
-Downtown will be indoors adjacent to their Marketplace location.
-AK still being formalized.
-Other in-park regional locations being tested.
When does all this start? My AP needs to be renewed this month and the website for disney does not offer much clarity in details either

The one thing im really taking away from all that info is the overwhelming feeling that they are gonna use Rfid to keep you in ONE park for as long as possible.

I know thats no big surprise but it seems to me anyway that they figured out that they make more money by keeping you on a base ticket as opposed to Park Hopping.

I dont do much park Hooping but like to spend a day at Mk and then monorail down to Epcot for dinner once or twice during my stay ...Im NOT paying two gates per day to eat someplace other than where I spend my day.

anyone else see this differently???
