My Extremely Late, Picture Filled, May-June 2012 Trip Report.

First of all, sorry I am so late starting this trip report. For whatever reason, I just wasn't in the mood to post. I have slowly been uploading the pictures. That the was the first issue I ran into. On my previous reports I used ImageShack for my pictures, well I have met my limit with them. So, I started looking into other sites for uploading my pictures. I looked at Flickr, I do like them, but I can't upload enough pictures on there without paying. At this time, I don't want to pay for uploading my pictures. I tried a few others, but everything was so limiting. I finally decided on PhotoBucket. We will see how this goes. If anyone has suggestions on better places to upload pictures, let me know. Now on to the trip report.

First off, ME! Almost every picture of me is with one character or another. Either that or a PhotoPass picture.

This trip took place from May 24th thru June 7th. We took two days to drive there and two days to drive back. We had a total of ten days in the parks with one off day. I bought my first Annual Pass and Tables In Wonderland card. The TiW card came in handy, saved us a nice chunk of change. We stayed at Pop Century, my favorite.

This report will be picture heavy and light on words. I am leaving in less than 30 days for the next trip and I would like to be finished with this one first. Hope you tag along!

May 24th-Travel Day
We left home around noon, stopping at Wendy's for lunch.

The Mississippi Welcome Center is always our first stop.

We make our way a little further east.

Just to find that the Alabama Welcome Center is closed!

Soon enough we were passing the prison.

We made it to Florida.

I really liked this lamp from our hotel room.

May 25th-Arrival Day!

Breakfast was at Cracker Barrel this morning.

My brother, keeping himself entertained.

Once I saw the YMCA, I knew we were getting close.

We made it!

Checkin was quick and easy. We made our way around Pop, since our room wasn't ready yet.

We finally get settled in the room and decide to head out to DTD.

This is the traffic we encountered. Thank goodness I wasn't the one driving. There had been a fire this evening and it caused traffic to be a nightmare.

EARL'S!!!

We did a little shopping.

I did a little picture-taking.

Ooooh!!!

That Alabama rest area that was closed off....so funny... We were living in LaPlace when I was pregnant with Brian but the doctor/hospital I was using was in Mobile. ((Long story on that logic.)) So when I finally went into labor we had to drive fast. Before we left our townhouse I was contracting at 4 minute intervals. I was soooo afraid we wouldn't make it in time. I made Tracey stop at that rest area so I could use the little girls room. So here I was at dawn waddling quickly across to the restrooms with my gigantic very low belly, and a contraction hit so I stopped, cradled my belly, and groaned. You shoulda seen this one truck driver that was walking out! He had this look of horror on his face like the kid was gonna fall out of me right there! I about wet myself laughing! LOL!

Love the overpass details in PCola! I so wish Tracey could make some good $$ there. PCola is home to me.

Where did y'all stop for the night???

I heart Pop, too! There's something about it that warms my little ol' heart. **siiiigh**

And hello Earl! Yum! There's an Earl in Sugarland outside Houston that Chandler & I hit up some months ago. As good as it was it just wasn't the same.

And you're about to go again???? Go on with yo bad self, girl! Guess I can't say much...cruising twice w/Mickey inside 5 months...LOL! Gonna be the same next year, too! Woot!

May 26th-Magic Kingdom

This morning was started bright and early. We had ADR's at Crystal Palace for 8:10am. Today was my dad's birthday.

We made our way over to Magic Kingdom and were let in at 7:40am. I just love walking down an empty Main Street.

Breakfast was delicious, as usual. I had to have some Pooh's Puffed French Toast. I took way too many pictures of the french toast. LOL.

My brother wanted to get his haircut at the Barber Shop, so we headed there next. Then it was time for some rides.

After watching Celebrate A Dream Come True from Liberty Square, we headed back to Pop for a nap.

Dinner was nachos at Pop, they were pretty good. We also bought a cake for my dad's birthday.

After cake we headed back to Magic Kingdom. The lines were kind of long at this point, so we found a spot for Main Street Electrical Parade in Frontierland.

I love Eliot.

We watched The Magic, The Memories and You as we walked around. After seeing the mess that was Main Street, we headed over to Tomorrowland. This was a very interesting view of Wishes. I loved that I could still hear the music. There was no crowd in this area, which really help my nerves. I may have to watch from Tomorrowland again in the future.

After Wishes, it was time to call it a night.

That had to have been a great scene. I can only imagine what was going thru that guy's head. LOL. I love the Alabama rest area. I always take a picture of the missile. My dad said that it is not a missile, but I still call it that. LOL.

We stopped in Tallahassee for the night. It was nice hotel, the room was set up like a little apartment. I didn't take many pictures of the room, but I liked it. The only problem was that I slept in the recliner, which was the most uncomfortable piece of furniture in the room.

I am a little biased about Pop. My best friend works in the gift shop in Pop. So not only do I love the hotel, I love bothering him every morning. LOL.

I heart Earl's. I fell in love with Earl's at first bite. I have only tried a few sandwiches, but they are awesome. I wish they would open one in New Orleans, I would be there every weekend. LOL.

Thanks! I am still learning about my camera. But I feel that my pictures have gotten better.

Yes, I will be there for Epcot's 30th. I can't wait. Then I will be going again in January for my 30th birthday. I bought my 1st Annual Pass on this trip, I plan on putting it to good use. And I will be on one of those cruises with you next year.

May 27th Winter Summer Land-MGM-Magic Kingdom

We slept in a little this morning. Made it over to Winter Summer Land around 10. We made it through the Summer side in an hour or so.

It was time for lunch at Whispering Canyon Cafe. We arrived early, but they were able to take us in. I love the lunch skillet here. The first time I ate here, I had been sick the day before, so I didn't get to eat like I wanted to. Not this time. I think I ate a pound of smoked sausage. It was so delish! Everytime the waitress came around, we had to ask for more food. That's how quick we were eating it all. My brother downed his first root beer, so our waitress brought him the BIG cup next.

MGM was our next stop for the day. It was pretty busy considering it was Star Wars Weekend.

Pixar Pals Countdown To Fun Parade was getting ready to start when we arrived. I watched from the doorway to one of the stores, while my mom and sister shopped.

We rode Great Movie Ride next, we got the cowboy side. I looked for you Joanna, but the told me you were working the ganster side. Maybe next time.
