My Dreams Came True

I've been going to WDW about every three months or so since the YOMD started last year. I have never been granted a dream. This week it all changed!

While at Animal Kingdom, I received a Dream FastPass while on the Maharajah Jungle Trek. The next day I received a YOMD pin lanyard while at DTD Marketplace.

I was the lucky recipient of a magical moment while at AK also...as I headed towards the tram for my car, a CM asked me if I wanted a ride to my car. We got chauffeured in a golf cart to our car row. Ironically, the CM was from the same town in Indiana as I am.

Other special notes:
I got upgraded to a savanna view room (from standard), although I know that's not so uncommon there. I appreciated it though since I got to see giraffes outside my balcony the next morning. I was only there one night though.

I also got a complimentary upgrade to club level at the Beach Club where I was for the rest of the week. I had never stayed there before and had an AP discounted standard view. Imagine my surprise when they told me I was in concierge!

On top of all that, the weather was absolutely perfect every single day! Safe to say it was the best visit to WDW ever!

My only real issue I had this stay was a billing error at the Beach Club. Luckily I had my confirmation and it got corrected to my satisfaction at the club concierge desk. Oddly, this is now the second time in a row I've had an error in the "amount due at check-in" after probably more than 30 visits over the past 13 years.

Sorry...I couldn't get it in the suitcase when I left this morning. I went from a balmy 71º at 8am to a friggin' cold 28º here at 3pm with 8-11" of snow expected tonight! No more horseshoe around here!

But...I'm am surely grateful to have had it all this week ~ and what better of a place to have it than at WDW!!

While my family was there a few weeks ago we also were given the day of Fast Passes at MGM. It's a GREAT feeling when they get you, isn't it!?! Congrats!!!

Indeed! It was kind of weird the way they did it though. They had a couple YOMD CM's stop us and wait on a section of the trail that winds up to the gorilla bridge (beyond what we could see). It was like they didn't want the rest of us to see what was happening ahead. I figured the people before us were getting a "dream" and I shrugged it off.

However, once they let just a small group of us through, another pair of cast members ahead announced the YOMD and that we were winners! Woo hoo!! Dream FastPases for all!

It was a little different for the YOMD pin lanyard at DTD. Two CM's were in the path between Fulton's and Lego store handing them out to everyone that passed by them. Very out in the open. Not sure how long they were there but we enjoyed getting them even though we aren't pin collectors.

He actually discussed the location of a specific local store he worked at and what happened to it a few years back. It was very ironic!

Also from Indiana...you must be pretty far up north getting all the winter weather. I am in the Southern part where we are expecting between 1-4 inches...they can't make up their minds. Glad you had a wonderful trip. We have gone 3 times during YOMD and have not gotten 1 yet. But then I love going so I don't get bummed.

Indianapolis here and we had 3-4 early today with freezing rain now turning to snow tonight again for another 6-8 inches of snow by morning.I wish I were in Florida right now!

You know...I might have been walking the Jungle Trek the same time you were. My husband and I had entered the room with the meerkats (I think) and I saw the Dream Squad enter just after us. We lingered around just to see if they were going to hand out a "dream" to someone. No such luck, we left before they did. Never know, that "dream" might have been you!
