I live in Lakeland Fla and retired from AT&T about a month ago. I got a call from Disney Casting yesterday. I will be working part-time at Disney Quest. I have always dreamed about being a Castmember and now my dream has come true!

I can't think of a better "retirement" job! With all the perks that come with working for WDW I would almost pay them to let me work there! Congratulations on both your retirement and newly found hobby!

Congradulations! That's what I would like to do, when I retire, move to FL and get a part time job as a CM.

Of coarse with my 401k dropping I'm probably never going to be able to retire.:lol:

Congrats! My wife and I have the same dream. We plan on retiring in the Orlando area and working as front line CM's...It is only 30 years and counting.:D

I wanna be a cast member NOW! The only things stopping me is #1. I dont live in Orlando..lol, and #2. I cant pay my bills on minimun wage!!! I guess Im just outta luck!

So what happened to the hiring freeze and the 500 openings they decided not to fill because of the recession and layoffs??? :brick: Could it be that they finally realize that they got way more people in the parks than they thought they would, and they better start hiring again to provide the expected Guest Service experience?
