Yes that pace maybe even a little more depending on what realistically could fit in melrose.
Ok guys first off, sorry to keep you all waiting! I had some internet problems but in the end it worked out ok because I used the time to create something highly detailed on Word.
Hyperion Avenue
So I've mentioned this to you guys before, but it has changed a fair bit since. I wanted to change Animation Courtyard into an area that did 3 things. Showed guests the realistic and fake sides of animation, took guests to an entirely different place like a theme park should and to also honour Walt Disney the man who started it all. I ended up with Hyperion Avenue, a 1930's themed area that mainly bases around the disney animation studios but includes a couple hollywood buildings and a black and white short themed area. I have had trouble getting my ideas across with descriptive writing lately, so I tried out something new with this word document. It's quite long but worth a read I promise.

Oh and if you're wondering what's going to happen to the animated features after Walt's time but before Pixar, well in my eyes they belong in MK. DHS should be about experiences you can't theme into MK.
Hope it was worth the wait![]()
i have an incredibles idea. but it's not like yours lolNo one better copy my incredibles idea...I will find you!. Jk.
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!Just letting you guys know I'm sitting this one out. My idea of a Pixar area in DHS is much different to anyone else's. I really want to keep that studio feeling throughout the whole thing but unfortunately today's audience would prefer an MK style huge budget land that lets them walk straight into each movie bypassing all the studio section. Now there's nothing wrong with this but in my opinion it's very reason why DHS is lacking now. So instead of submitting my idea and receiving no votes I would prefer to just sit back and watch this one. You guys are really passionate about Pixar so I'm excited to choose which one I think deserves a spot next to Hyperion Avenue![]()
Then there is a very good chance you'll get my vote!My idea actually does keep the theme of the studio feel! Well sort of. I could go the other route though
i have the same thing XD . just doenst teach the movie process, but it continues the Pixar campus feel rather than individual worldsThen there is a very good chance you'll get my vote!
I just have two things to say.Enter Pixar Place! This will still look physically like the Emeryville campus (like around Toy Story) and emphasize the feel like the movies are coming out of the sets similar to Star Tours, Toy Story, and Crush's Coaster (CRUSH'S COASTER IS NOT in the plan but imagine if the show building behind the track had the studio theme so that you understand the vibe I'm giving). This would all be taking over the backlot. Now just so you know, this won’t be like the current Pixar Place which is all cramped up, this new version will some open space (as much as Tomorrowland or Frontierland) so there will be some green areas like the campus itself (I'm not saying it's going to be an exact replica of that picture). Some of the green areas will have topiaries of characters which would be non-titular Pixar characters to spice some variety (Dug, Heimlech, characters from new films which would be updated, Eve , Roz, Dash, Emile)
The entrance to the new land would be inside a wider/bigger Pixar arch, and right next to the entrance would be a building housing character meet and greets for characters that don't have there own attractions, as well as updating exhibits on upcoming films from Pixar. In the exhibit there'd be a room that's a homage to how it started and the classic Pixar shorts, there would be photo ops that make it look like you're in the film using green screens and then you can buy your photo. In front of this building would be the weenie for the land, Luxo, and this is how it'll look but a bit scaled down. In true Pixar fashion, there WILL be easter eggs and cameos to the shorts which jump-started the company scattered around the land. Similar to the effects of the moaning myrtle in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter there'd be a telephone pole running through a part of the land and if you listen closely you can hear the squeaks from the birds in Pixar's short "For The Birds". And in one of the nooks and crannies, you'd be able to see a snowman stuck in a snow-globe trying to escape on the ledge (obviously this is a motionless figure) from the Pixar short, Knick Knack. On a grassy area, you'd be able to spot an unattended chess set on a table as a reference to Geri's Game (obviously the chess will be out of guest’s reach so they can’t touch the props).
Now first off, Toy Story Mania will be getting an enhanced queue similar to Dumbo but it's no stroll in the park! (Dumbo's interactive queue is a playground, so this is a pun) Think of a food-court set-up with different animatronics similar to Mr. Potato Head where guests go and watch their favorite toys until their beeper/pager is ready. Toys would include: Etch-A-Sketch drawing guests, Green Aliens saying people's names, Mr. Prickle-pants giving acting lessons, good ol' Slinky introducing the basics of the game, and Wheezy singing songs like Frank Sinatra. Pizza Planet will be here as well, but sadly it will not have the great facade like everybody is hoping for, because the Pixar campus theme is still going on, but the interior will be spot on and the pizza will be good!
The first new ride, Monsters, Inc.: Adventures in Monstropolis, is a wild but fun dark ride. It would use the newly patented Monsters Inc ride system which is like a modern Mr. Toad's and Roger Rabbit Cartoon Spinto say the least. The ride is themed to being invited into Monstropolis as an open house after all the energy you give them (literally). But things go wrong in true monsters fashion, and you're taken around the immersive world of Monstropolis. Places that you will see include Harryhausens (the restaurant), the factory, the streets of Monstropolis, and Monsters University. Around the ride there would be a Monsters Inc. meet and greet like the current one but with better costumes. In addition to the Pixar campus atmosphere, one of the gags would be an eye poking out the window and looking at guests (like in this picture) as well as a monster car parked on the street like in this picture. and a fruit/drink stand next to the attraction as Tony's Grossery like in the film.
A Bugs Life Play-Set is the obvious re-theme of HISTK, not much to say here besides a small area in the back to meet Flik as well as the ants and the dog nose being re-themed. Café Ratatouille is the new table-service restaurant in town and is themed to (SPOILER: The restaurant Remy, Linguini, and Colette build after Gusteau's is taken down) it would serve food similar to Be Our Guest but on a much smaller scale and a bit more French plus it would include living character Remy moved over from Epcot.
And at last, the BIG e-ticket we've been waiting for, THE UNTITLED INCREDIBLES ADVENTURE. This ride would use Vekoma's Pandora's Box system. Near the attraction in the Pixar campus, you'd see Metroville flyers saying things along the lines of "Supers Needed", and pieces of the studio (only in this area) would look a bit destroyed as if it's in battle. At the front of the attraction would be a smashed omni-droid . As you queue, you find out that a diabolical plan (by Syndrome, The Underminer, Bomb Voyage, Omnidroids, and a few other characters that Pixar/Imagineers can dream up) is being unleashed on Metroville and the Incredibles need new Supers! In the pre-show you are sent to the fabulous superhero designer, Edna Mode, where you get a comedic briefing on being a super until Mr. Incredible comes and says the spiel in all seriousness. You board your vehicle and the adventure begins, it would be a blend of dark ride and thrills like Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey. There would also be a super-hero meet and greet at the end.
But as Pixar will always keep expanding and making new films, there is a future expansion space open so if needed, it will have enough space to include a d-ticket and a flat ride. There is also the opening to having hidden reference to new films/shorts as the years go by along the lines of Geri’s Game, For The Birds, and Knick Knack.
here is the link to the map of the land.
I hope you guys like my ideas!![]()
