How long do you all think we should wait with no real news or actual confirmation they'll do anything to preserve it ("looking at", "considering", etc. not counting) before we can all safely say nothing substantial is going to happen?

I'm already expecting that, but how long until you think most people will join that view?

The last day to experience MuppetVision 3D and dine at PizzeRizzo will be June 7, 2025

I want to mention I had no idea that PizzaRizzo had an actual wedding reception themed room on the second floor until like two months ago. I heard people mention it and thought someone must've rented it out once like they rent out Italy and people were just bringing it up as a weird choice. I laughed so hard when I went up there. Disney really has lost its sense of humor.

Fingers crossed for a ton of dancing Muppet fans in there on the 7th.

If we go the entire year without anything then we panic but you can get a head start if destination d23 goes by with nothing ;)

I adore Dollywood but it’s 100% a regional park. Pigeon Forge is super popular but still super regional, still not really a major vacation destination for most Americans.
Maybe not a week long vacation like the swamp but add in the resort and Dollywood is definitely a 4 day trip.

@Sirwalterraleigh this response is why Disney and Universal get away with how they operate. They are really the only theme park vacation in the US

There’s really no doubt why the Orlando parks run the way they do…

The next closest is Disneyland and that is planted in the second biggest city in the country surrounded by any geography you could want…

The issue…for those of us that acknowledge there is one…
Is that the attendance at the Orlando compounds is declining when there is zero reason it should be based on the economic conditions. 100% of history is against this. People spend more, borrow more, and travel. That curve is almost a 45 line up…not some screwed up sine wave…

What’s going on? They’re choking a golden goose. Period. This is not some bold economic revelation from a 75 year old former tv hack. It’s lighting the planks on fire behind on the bridge they’re crossing…and the financial pressure of that strategy is getting greater and the stitching is starting to come apart.

Yes and….
Disneyland is not run like WDW. While there have been cuts - they still have way more attractions per park, don’t close and replace nearly as much, and have way more live entertainment and food options in the parks.

Although change needs to happen, I am surpried it is happening so quickly. Dinosaur got a "last chance to visit in all of 2025. But the "fan favorite" Muppets, is only getting a few months notice?
Actually Muppets is getting a much longer "Last call" period than many of the other recently replaced attractions-

Notice anything about that list?

The closures all resulted in cost savings for AAs…which is why they were “replaced” as well…

Except Chester…that just sucked

What clever people 🙄

Sure, I spent 4 days in Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg myself. But you really don’t need longer than a day or two at Dollywood and considering the area, you likely shouldn’t!

That's when Matt Vogel took over...

He always sounded like someone with a stuffed nasal issue..

Vogel was a perfectly fine Uncle Deadly. I feel like perhaps the rot that is finishing off the Muppets comes from higher up, namely Iger. (Same thing happening to Indy, Figment, etc)

I know the Henson family finally raised a finger but it might be too late. Sesame Workshop has also done nothing, and are being consumed by David Zaslav.
