MuppetVision 2???....

Correction: It's not one of his final works. It is his final work. His swan song.

Correction: It is timeless. While maintenance is needed and possibly updates to the technology, the contents never need to be changed. Ever.

Just for the record, MuppetVision was the last project that Jim Henson completed. Jim had been working on the concept for the show "Dinosaurs" three years before the show premiered in April 1991. He continued development of the show until his death in 1990. Dinosaurs also went into production in 1990. He also bumped around the idea of a show called "Muppet High" which would have been about the Muppets in their high school years in the 50's. So yes and no really. MuppetVision was the last project he totally finished, but he also was involved in Dinosaurs.

I love the Muppets and used to watch them religiously when they were on TV way back when, and saw the movies, too. Butttttt - for some reason, and contrary to all of you posting, I have never felt they fit in the Disney line up. And I don't know why - am I crazy?

After Star Tours reopens expect a big refurb to Great Movie Ride before Muppets will be touched.

It needs it more anyway.

If nothing else, the palm trees in the loading area for GMR look terrible. The fake palms in Mexico look great, but the GMR fake palms look like someone cut shapes out of construction paper and then paid a pre-schooler to paste them on some brown cardboard tubes...

I agree with you, FWIW. However, I've kind of made my peace with them being in the parks because they're in Disney Hollywood Studios. I try to think of them as being guest stars there, part of a Hollywood production, just like Star Wars and Indiana Jones are there. So it's all good. But they'll never be true Disney characters to me, any more than the Marvel characters will be.

I can only dream of the day that TGMR gets an update:snore: But yeah, leave the muppets alone, it's a classic attraction and there are much bigger fish to fry.

I only think muppets should be plussed. Add a bananna cream pie smell during the flying pie scene, just new little touches like that and updated effects.

Thank you Magenta Panther, I will make peace now too, and I feel my sanity retuning.:D
