anyone read that article on multivitamins and how its not really that effective. i beg to differ. anyone here take them?
Not effective in targeting certain diseases. They are good for people who cannot get all the needed vitamins from foods or do not utilize them properly.
Some vitamins have been shown time & again to protect against certain diseases (like Vit C &D) while others they are not so sure about. Just wait until next year when the next study comes out. :lol:
I take a multi vitamin as well as Vit D daily (per my doctor's orders).
I should have read it a bit more throughly, hehe. Is it okay to take the multi with other things?
I always have...it's not like some medications that can't be mixed with other things. I take a multivitamen along with calcium magnesium, vitamen C, vitamen E, chromium, beta caratene, lecithin, and omega 3...though I had to modify that since I am pregnant...I should have read it a bit more throughly, hehe. Most people find they are easiest on the stomach if they are taken with a meal. Some medications and vitamins cannot be taken at the same time, same with the minerals.
