Multiple Reservation Same Day

I have a situation that might come up next year.
3 adults planning to go together. 2 of them are a married couple.
If they got an ADR for 6pm one in night in . . . California Grill, can the third person get a one person ADR for 6 pm at . . . Tony's?
I know that booking ADRs online usually means you can't book 2 different ADRs for the same meal when the package is under one reservation number. Will it work in this case?
Thanks!

You don't have to link adr's to your resort confirmation number, so a separate adr could be made under the third person's name. Just make all of your adr's that you want linked to your conf. number, then log out and make a separate adr for the third person for Tony's using their name.

I dont know if the online system (when determining multiple reservations at the same time) is advanced enough to note that the two reservations together make up the entire party.

I would think that you might have better luck calling and explaining the situation, at least the online system won't automatically delete any reservations....

I've never used the online system.

When you make ADRs by telephone, they don't even ask your reservation number. They link your ADR to your home telephone number (or whatever number you give them). So as long as you use different telephone numbers when doing it this way, it won't even leave the possibility of a problem.

The online system works the exact same way. You don't have to give your resort conf. number unless you are booking the 180 days +10...then you have to give your resort conf. number to show you are staying at a Disney resort, same as you would have to do on the phone. But if all of your dates are within the 180 day time period, all you have to do is give a phone number, unless you just choose to also link your adr's to your resort conf. number.

I did the call-in when going 2008, but for my trip this December I used the online system for all ADRs. You can book more than one restaurant for the same time with different party numbers.

Not sure if it makes a difference, but I went through a travel agent and my online WDW account is not yet linked to my reservation. When booking dining, it simply asked me for my email address. It will also tell you that you have conflicting times, and in that case just click on the option that says "Keep all reservations" rather than "Cancel existing reservation". I was able to do this all under my one email address.

Hope this helps!

I've booked all of our ADRs online this year, and encountered your issue once: My boyfriend and I are eating at noon at the Coral Reef, while my family is eating at the GF Cafe. I had both booked, no problem.

THE PROBLEM came when I saw a better time had become available for the Coral Reef, so I immediately clicked on it. When the warning came up that said, "You already have two other reservations at this time, what would you like to do?", I didn't want to lose this so I said Keep All Existing Reservations. INSTEAD, it booked my new one for Coral Reef and said, All Other Reservations Have Been Canceled.

Obviously it thought I was trying to book 3 reservations for the same time and trying to cheat the system, so I frantically went on to re-book. Thankfully everything was still there. I of course understand why it did that, but which there had been a box telling me that if I accepted the new reservation, the old two would be canceled.

Thank you for the great ideas.

I try to do all of my ADRs with the 180+10 because I go during free dining. I think this will work best for me.

You can book multiple ADR's for each day. The week of December 6, I have and ADR at Le Cellier, Coral Reef, Tappan, and O'Hana at 6pm everyday that week.

I like having the flexibilty to choose where I feel like eating.

Jimmy Thick- Iam rubbing my belly now...
