Another thing that wouldnt make sense is why would DLR throw investment into 2 new MSEP floats just to have it sent off to WDW after a short summer the new run?
The new finale singals to me that MSEP isn't dead/gone forever on Sep 2nd. Is the new finale Special only to DL?? IDK.......MK had a MSEP Small World unit before Spectro was made...........

TDA abhors the idea of sending any parade to TDO. Don't think that has changed in the past 4-5 years.

TDO is happy to keep MK nighttime-parade-free, because the consumers keep showing up for the current nighttime garbage pile of a show, so why would they change that?
I thought Enchantment was fairing a little better now with Walt??????

If DLR have more stock of nighttime parade, why doesn't bring back PTN next year for Disney100 along with Magic Happens (technically spiritual sucessor of MSEP), and WDW get revamped MSEP from DL?

I honestly think that when fans think of MSEP, they are most likely associated the parade with WDW (East Coast) despite being DL original parade, also for PTN despite being HKDL original parade. This is why fans demanding that parade to return to the east Coast resort instead of DL because WDW are celebrating 50th and also disappointment of the original Enchantment. Yet, at Destination D23 last year, they announce the return of MSEP to DL for 50th instead of WDW.
We deserve a successor to Spectromagic.

Before or after WDW’s 100th? 😉
I measure time with this company as “before I turn 100” and “the after”

I don't think they have any desire to bring Paint the Night back. They know they are able to please everyone with Electrical Parade. It's cheaper to run as well. As for Magic Happens, I think it's dead. The floats will be recycled into something else later down the road.

Magic Happens is not dead. Disney makes a lot of bad decisions, but putting a brand new parade in the dumpster isn't going to be one them.

When WDW's 50th Anniversary was kicked off last October, Ron Logan was interviewed where he talked about the development and history of Spectromagic from his perspective. It wasn't shared until today not long after news of his passing first broke.

I want to know what happen to the so called new parade that was said to be in development for the WDWs 50th, before covid, and the rumors of chassis being purchased or something. Just a bunch of fluff? Like the PTN to WDW rumors? lol.

Should have clarified! :hilarious: Disney ONLY puts light parades in dumpsters. Light Magic, SpectroMagic, Fantillusion, WDW's original MSEP...plus there are two versions of Paint the Night on this planet and both are collecting dust in warehouses.
I didn't particularly care for Paint the Night, I feel like it just missed the mark for me . . . but the fact that there are two versions of it sitting there going to waste seems pretty dumb. Have at least one of them running somewhere.
