Very odd. Potential rebranding on the way?

Then again you have Disney's Electrical Water Pageant and now Disney's Electrical Light Parade so now the names kinda match.

Whatever happens to MSEP next, if it does continue to live, I hope they continue to update it like they did with the finale float.

Presumably this comes from the fact that the parade has changed names a few times depending on where it's playing. Not that I agree with this weird naming.

I can't imagine anybody who would look and say "well, I was gonna buy that Magicband, but it wasn't called "The Main Street Electrical Parade" when I saw it . . ."

I feel like MSEP should exist and be kept in running condition. In my ideal world we have new and exciting light parades running regularly but MSEP comes out once a year (I dunno on DL’s anniversary in July) indefinitely. It just feels like such a classic park of Disney Parks that it permanently going away is like getting rid of Haunted Mansion or the like.

I get the nostalgia, but it's pretty rickety at this stage and this constant glowing away and coming back has become tiring.

I could see them updating and reusing the music or something like that to keep the tradition and maybe even some variant of the name alive. I really wish they would drive those old floats into the sea, though, and come up with something that takes advantage of technological advances over the past 50 years.

Maybe not from when they saw it, but the phrasing is weird, and it will absolutely deter some people - my husband is very fond of the parade, and when I asked him if he'd seen the new Magicband, he immediately complained about it 😂

That was my point, I'm agreeing with you. It should have just said "The Main Street Electrical Parade".
