MSEP ending at Disneyland on Sept 1, WDW return in 2023?

The rumor a few months back of WDW getting MSEP and DL getting PTN next Summer. The WDW end of it probably fell off but who knows about the PTN part for DL.
I Know.. It was same rumor that was saying MSEP would return to DL this Summer(before the F! Inferno....)
I was wondering if there's was any new leads on the rumor.

Hopefully Steve will be able to comment more soon. At least as to what time frame we are looking at. Not just for WDW but DL as well if he’s aware of what DL has planned.

There hasn't been much talk about PTN returning to Disneyland anymore. I think it's gone silent due to FANTASMIC! issues.

Strange. Not sure what that would have to do with Fantasmic. If anything I’d say it has more to do with Magic Happens being more popular at night. There’s really no excuse for PTN returning not returning to DCA.

Perhaps - just theorizing - budget theoretically earmarked for PTN or MSEP went to getting Fantasmic back as a workable show at DL?

It could be a budget issue but does PTN or MSEP really need that much work done to it? PTN maybe but MSEP should be just about ready to go.
Another possibility is there is a battle going on of what to do with two nighttime parades sitting backstage. TDA doesn’t want WDW to have either but someone or some others want the floats to get some use instead of collecting dust.
Makes sense to me!
We don't know how much work PTN needs.
If it stays at DLR, all MSEP needs is a cast.....

MSEP would be a nice thing to promote in 2024 for MK to go along with Tianas opening. There isn’t a single thing else opening next year that we know of. Hopefully there’s still a tiny glimmer of hope.
Hopefully TDO is thinking of that........

Well this subject seems dead now. Hopefully it’s not dead in Disneys plans. I guess we now wait till late spring or summer 2024 for this subject and rumors to surface again lol.

As recent as a week ago it was stated that a night parade was still in the plans for WDW.

Oh I know. But we all know how things get the axe taken to them at any given time. I know it was said Destination D23 may have been to early, but then it was also said there were some things that didn’t get announced that are not that far out in the future. A parade may or may not have been one of them.

I hope for your sake, more than my own hope of a night parade, that they announce details sooner rather than later!

Honestly I’d be surprised if they bring back an electrical parade to MK because it’s not really needed.
I’m a little surprised they haven’t brought back other after hours parties (like the princess and pirate party) outside of holiday ones just to try to make more $ and add a new parade there

What makes you say that? I think it is, but WDW is afraid to keep the park open late to accommodate it.

Curious what their reasoning is other than probably not wanting to pay CMs to stay longer? They definitely need to keep MK open later like they used to, asside from party nights. Them closing right after HEA is not good for not only everyone trying to leave at the same time, but also that doesn’t help them in merch and food sales. A parade would help with this.
