Hey guys! While at the MK today, I spotted a great shirt at the Philharmagic gift shop. As part of the Magic Kingdom 1971 Collection, a Mr. Toad's Wild Ride shirt has appeared! Unfortunately they didn't have anything smaller than a large, but I would definitely pick one up if you're in the area. Here's the link to a picture: http://twitpic.com/1dtmg. Enjoy!
Enjoy!

Now... how can we tie this back to the 'Are you 23' viral marketing to show they're bringing back Mr. Toad's Wild Ride?

For that matter... How can we tie it back to them refurbing JII back to its original form?

hey... We can dream, right? :D

Are you 23 won't actually be bringing the attraction back, but you will see Mr Toad for certain. :D

Wow... and I was just guessing there. Unless... This is part of the whole 'fan club w/ exclusive merch' deal.

Or... A virtual Mr. Toad's ride... This could tie to the 'Disney to buy EA' thread posted earlier.

So many possibilities! :drevil:

I can't talk about it...

By the way, one of my best friends on this forum is from your exact town!

If they have this shirt in a XXL when I get down there in June, consider it bought as soon as I step foot in the MK. What a fantastic shirt!

Disney certainly seems to be on the ball when it comes to fan specific merchandise right now.

Nah, I wouldn't expect you to... besides, I hate ruined surprises. I'd rather just wait to get an email on March 10th to find out if I'm 23 :D

There is a strong Disney following here, and in the surrounding 'Metro' area... But then again, I consider just about everything within an hour of New Orleans to be 'home'. From Baton Rouge, to Houma, to the West Bank (of NOLA), Northshore, etc.

Last year during Mardi Gras, there were 10 or so employees @ my work that were vacationing @ Disney for that week. Roughly 25%! going to Disney...

I was jealous, and wanted to go but it was too early in the year for my family to go then b/c we had just gone in October and my wife didn't have enough vacation saved up yet, so we scheduled an impromptu trip in late April ;)

We're getting ready for a barrage of trips though. Going November 7-14, then in Feb.2010 (Mardi Gras), and then again in October2010. Applying the money spent on our tickets in Nov. towards APs and hope to get in even more '4 day / long weekend' trips over the course of the year.

*Dials the mail order number* Have they released any other retro shirts recently?

Anyone have the mail order number handy?

They should have a website with *all* merch readily accessible for purchase.

I'd be afraid to order it though b/c the last time I was on site I bought two Everest T-shirts in XXL only to get home and find out they were more along the lines of a Med/Large.

I guess I could always return it if it doesn't fit.

I'd hate to wait until November (my next trip) just to find out they're gone.

Unfortunately WDW XXL's are not real XXL's. They are usually shorter and more narrow than standard Nike, Adidas, etc. XXL shirts. I can make it work for me, but I like a roomy t-shirt and that just isn't an option for me.

I would fully expect this shirt to be even shorter and more narrow than regular WDW shirts because of the retro design. I've got 2 EPCOT Center retro shirts that came out last year that are the same way. Again I can still wear them, but I'm not a fan of vintage cut shirts.
