That's fine. Enjoy your trip and pm me when you get back. We expect a trip report, too....

Thanks
Trentmom
Thanks.
I've never done a trip report before, but I was reading other's trip reports the other day and figured I might give it a try this trip. I'll let you all know if I do! And I'll PM you when I get back.

Hi, yup I'm back, sorry I'm a little late on all of this, it's been a busy two weeks (job hunting/intervewing/etc)

First off, Trentmom, I love your avatar, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is adorable! (And I'm 22, and I think it's worth watching!)
Unfortunately, I have bad news for you.....I didn't get the arm parts. I was only going to get a box if they had both the Donald Beak and Gold Mouse Ears, and they didn't. They told me they'd be coming in the end of July. But, I'm going back in August, which will be my last trip for awhile, so regardless, I'm getting a box then (If you can wait that long) I'm really sorry.

In other potato head news.....A new Potato Head ghost will be coming out soon, and Artoo Potatoo was released last week, so he should be in stores. Also, Hasbro Has added the Mermaid, the Pirate and the Halloween Vampire to their Parts 'N Pieces sets. The vampire now has bloodshot eyes!

Welcome Back Sew. That is okay. I can wait until August. Our next trip is not until November 2007 :xmas: . I really appreciate it.

That sounds real cool about the new accessories. But, who is Artoo?

Hope to see a Trip Report

Trentmom

This may seem a stupid question, but it could happen. Are the potatoes in the parks the same size and dimension of regular potatoes? I don't want to buy loads of parts then find they don't fit! :S

I dont know if this is right or not because I dont have any potatos but I want to get one on my next trip! But I would think that Artoo Potatoo is R2D2 from Star Wars? That is the only thing that makes sense in my mind and didnt they just have star wars weekend? If I'm wrong oh well....I tried

DD (12) got her first box of potato parts at Easter. We bought them at D-MGM, but also saw parts at Once Upon a Toy (DTD) and in the shop at the exit from DINOSAUR! We also bought the name tag and only knew where to put it because the display was wearing one!

My potato story is this: DD's Mr.P sits on the fridge next to the "Donate-to-our-Disney-fund" jar. DD will change Mr. P and later in the day DS (18) comes through and misplaces all the parts (balloon out of the top of the head....Mickey ears in hand....autograph book in ear...etc.). It did make DD mad, but now that DS is headed to college, DD takes it as a sign of affection...go figure:lol:

To answer questions (in order)
Artoo is indeed RTD2.
I'm working on a trip report. I'm doing it in Word, then copy/paste it here.
The parts in Disney do fit regular potato heads. Don't bother buying the body there, buy one at your local WalMart and save space in your box!
And, pintraderpayee, I used to do (almost) the same thing. I was in college, and my sister was still at home. My sister had a gnome that sat on the stairs. Every day, I would move it's position slightly, then I started moving it more and more, and/or decorate it. Then one day I found it in my bed. She had cought on, but not said anything. We went on for weeks, hiding it on each other, but never even making mention of it. We still do it every once and awhile.

lol we do that with the white board in our kitchen. My sister draws something on it and then I draw something around it or over it or next to it. This week she drew this gosh awful looking mushroom thing so I did what any computer/videogame nerd would do and drew Mario jumping on top of it for a power up. She came out and goes what the heck is that for to which I replied "A WHILE" and walked away. I come back and shes erased marios eyes put X's in there place and drawn a ledge with mario falling off. I tell you Siblings are great to mess with.

Coastermaster and sewin2disney,

You are about to make me cry since DS is off to college in August. DD will be an "only" child then. I guess DS can e-mail DD messed up Mr. P. pix!!

My SIL is so picky about where her magnets are placed on the fridge. Every time she hosts a family gathering, our tradition is to interchange 2 magnets and see how long it takes her to notice. Great fun!

Hey Trentmom...I just read all of the posts about Mr. Potato Head and I think maybe I might can help you out with the arm thing. I am a CM and I might be able to get just the arms. Not sure, but I will certainly try! No Potato needs 3 left arms! hehe... I'm off the next couple of days so I'll see what I can do!

The large yellow things are Poncho's for your potato head. And when I was there in January they were on clearance for 1.99

Hypercatmatt, I did the same thing the first time I got my Potato Head a few years ago, and the same thing happened, where they wouldn't let me trade! A supervisor finally gave me permission. Now I always get a few arms every time (I have over 90 potato bodies, so all the arms can be put to good use at the same time)

You've got to be careful with the Mickey gloves too.....they have a left and a right as well.

Can I ask a stupid question?

Where in the world do you put 90 Mr. Potato Heads? Not to mention all of his/her various parts when they are not in use.... Do you have a Potato room in your house or something? :lookaroun
