Movies to calm (or raise) the anxiety...

Hi. These might sound like an stupid question but would like to know if there are others like me. The thing is that as I always anticipate my annual vacations very carefully watching for almost all possible details, as soon as I hit the one month before mark, I have the tradition to watch vacations-road trip related movies. One movie that I watch almost every years is National Lampoon's Vacation and sometimes the sequels and other movies like Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. Also when my vacation is in Las Vegas I watch movies that take place in Las Vegas. Do any of you do similar things? Any recommended movies? (Of course I may look obvious prior to any Disney vacation to watch Disney movies but I am not talking about these movies). Regards,

Every time my wife and I go to Vegas she watches "Vegas Vacation" on the Plane. I always watch "Casino" on the home theater before we go. As far as going to disney about a month or so out we will start watching all the movies to get us and our kid ready for the trip.

If I'm going to the beach I now watch "Forgetting Sara Marshall"

I actually made a post a few weeks ago about how I am watching every animated Disney film (including Pixar) up until my trip. I am at 11 out of 58 so far! Almost there!

There aren't any movies that pumps me up for a trip to WDW. However, as a kid when I would find out I was going to be going to Disney I would play Adventures in the Magic Kingdom on NES. For those that don't know Adventures in the Magic Kingdom, you would walk around MK answering Disney questions and some of the big attractions were mini-games.

Now that my NES is long gone I hadn't played it until recently when I found a website that has a pretty good copy to play for free.

Wow! What a great site! Thank you! My wife is going to cry out for nostalgia when looking to this site: http://nintendo8.com/game/629/super_mario_brothers/

No matter how much I try to convince her that my PC games like Crysis, Call of Duty 4 and such are the next generation games, she had always long to play again Super Mario Bros like she did when she was a kid.

Ahh...this remind me also when I was a kid. We used to go to Disney every year in January so to kill the anxiety all I did was play video games and watching cartoons all day and night until the magic day came.

We have recorded all the Disney specials on the behind the scene stuff or touring the parks. I look ahead on our dvr and record anything that is about Disney and like to watch that. I don't watch regular movies, just things that will help plan our Disney vacation or get us more excited to go.

As I don't have any of my trips filmed on video cameras, one thing I always do is watch youtube.com videos where you can find a lot of vacation videos posted by it's users.
To me the excitement is twice, not only am I eager to come to Disney World but to the USA in general as I live in Costa Rica. Even tough I go even to times per year (to the US) the excitement is always there. From shopping to dinning at The Olive Garden and other great restaurants. I love it there!!
