Well it should be interesting to see what they change in El Rio then. Ya think we'll get any AA's of the 3 Caballeros?

More footage would be a good addition to the American Adventure in my opinion. I hope they freshen American Dream music wise a bit, as well. I prefer the original female artist. This version has a bit of a pop flare to me (kind of like when people go crazy with the Star Spangled Banner.) The orchestral ending still is excellent.

Just a heads up. Mouse Planet are reporting today that the SSE Post show will open in late spring, O'Canada! will be re-edited/replaced in late summer and Golden Dream has some new extra footage to be edited in. Oh, and El Rio Del Tiempo - Three Caballeros is official :D

I don't know....I found Maya Angelou kind of annoying. I really prefer the new narration.

I hope the Rio upgrades are great. Three Caballeros is one of my favorite old Disney movies, and a permanent place in the parks seems appropriate to me. (Not to spark a whole bunch of debate...)

I don't think you'll get much debate there...the Three Caballeros is generally well-liked. I think it's hilarious...and it certainly has a place on El Rio Del Tiempo--if done tastefully and not over the top.

Good to see the new Canada film all but confirmed.

I wonder though what became of the plans to update Norway's...
I think we can consider it confirmed if the VP of Epcot was willing to go on camera about it...these things don't really require a press release, but I'm shocked Disney didn't jump on the opportunity anyway. Didn't we get a press release when they opened the new walkway to Everest with a bathroom complex?

I was thinking the same thing last night, as the Managers at Epcot and MK were cold and wearing Helly Hensen jackets, the corporate sponsor of the Norway pavilion.

It was almost as if they had recently received them as gifts..

Really, why would several random Floridians with mid-level incomes be wearing a random Norwegian brand of clothing?

Can anyone honestly say that you dont get a tear in your eye after seeing the american adventure movie? I mean that is some powerful stuff and should be a requirement to see!
Of course not everyone that sees it is from the united states so im sure its more meaningful to us than visitors.

I do agree that the show is pretty darn powerful, especially Golden Dream. I do agree that a re-done song would be nice. I like the slightly pop tag toward the end (after the quotes), but the beginning is a little too pop for me. I also like the original female voice more, too.

When was Maya Angelou in this? I thought that was Hall of PResidents. Am I losing my mind? :veryconfu

yep...I love the American Adventure, too. It's one of Disney's best shows to date. It could certainly use some updates, though...as long as they don't change the spirit of the show. No three caballeros here!

I'm thrilled at the idea of a new Canada film. My prediction is that they will include the best elements of O Canada, while updating it (big hair and 70s clothing BEGONE!) with more modern elements.

And even though I hail from the North, I too get moved a bit by The American Adventure (maybe not tear-y, but moved). While I think everyone agrees that it glosses over a couple of touchy subjects, it's a pretty darned good tribute. We Canadians are often navel-gazers when it comes to describing Canada, the greatest nation in the world (at least for hockey and natural resources - except for Potassium, where Kazakhstan is champ).

I hope they don't make it obnoxious.

Can anything be more obnoxious then what they already have? My friends got off being offened at the marketplace part...I just laughed!!!

She was not at AA she was at the Hall of Pres. and she has been changed out. She did the voice over when they updated it for Clinton. When they changed it over to Bush it is some guy, that sounds kinda like the person who did it in the first place.

As far as what they are doing with AA it will be added on to the video to include everything that has happened in the past 10 years or so since they updated it the first time. But it will only be to the Golden Dream part and odds are high they will have something from 9/11 so get ready to cry if you have not already in the past.

Plus they have Borat!!!!!

I can not wait for a new Canada film, I have always thought O' Canada was an amazing attraction but it is dated. Just think of what they did with Wonders of China but all over the beautiful land of the Great White North!
