A coaster which, to my knowledge, doesn't exist. :) I'd not be surprised if the most expensive single roller coaster built to date was Raging Spirits in Tokyo. It was an astonishing ~$70M, though I can't imagine why or how. The ride system itself, a turn-key solution, couldn't represent more than 5% of that cost, if that much.

I can't believe that price for RS either. The ride itself is basically the same as the Indiana Jones Temple of Peril at DLP with some slight themeing modifications. If that cost 70M, I'd hate to see what Everest is costing

About this coaster in Las Vegas...does anyone know what that article was referring to? I sure hope they aren't referring to the New York, New York coaster (Manhattan Express?). That thing is a piece of junk (and very rough too). But there are other coasters in Vegas, I just don't know where that expensive of a coaster would be.

Based on when the article was written, I expect they're referring to the proposed "J-Hook" coaster designed by Arrow Dynamics for the Stratosphere Tower Hotel & Casino. Neither the Manhattan Express nor Speed: The Ride would've cost so absurdly much money, nor would I expect Canyon Blaster or The Lightning Bolt to have been so much. I could see how Stratosphere's marketing department might've claimed that Let It Ride: High Roller would've been some staggering some of money, though.

I don't know if that coaster was ever approved. That just the only thing I have found that has a $75 million doaller price tag with Everest in the article.

Then you're just a bit naive where the amusement industry is concerned. That shouldn't be and is not surprising. It's not as if everyone deals with this sort of thing each day.

Hell, I don't even deal with it directly. I am simply fortunate to have been able to sit in a corner and listen to some very bright, very passionate people talk about their work.

You can find some of those folks here; Corrus, Lee, Yensid, et. al. I can't imagine that you could have ever worked for or with Disney if you weren't passionate about your work -- and passionate people love to talk about what they do. Well, I think that's true for as long as scary, fame-obsessed internet people don't scare them off. Don't be that guy :)

I'm just speaking my mind. Everybody has a right to say what they want. I didn't say you have to believe me.

Somehow I highly doubt that. While I could be wrong you sound very young based on your questions and comments on the board.

Then how would you suggest I would be able to post these messages on the boards? I certainly dont have school and I have free time from work.

All you need is an internet connection and in today's world that is like basicly any where and every where. You can even post with most cell phone now.

If I remember correctly, cell phones are banned at school. Check my post times on weekdays to see that I have posted during 10 on weekdays. I've also posted at 1 or 2. How can I stay in the library that long for a period of days?

Let's go back on topic now.

Lets not. M:S is the most expensive attraction, end of story. If you don't believe me, thats fine, but Corrus stated it too, and his info is as good as gold.
