Most Annoying Guest Behavior

Andrew C

You know what's funny?
entitlement on buses. What makes you think that, because you're pregnant/had surgery/have a sleepy child, you are entitled to a bus seat and must stare down sitting passengers until they give you a seat? Your physical status does automatically grant you a seat. You don't know they story of the person sitting. You assume that, because they appear young and healthy, they should stand? If someone DECIDES to give up a seat, that's one thing. Don't think your situation means someone else should automatically bend to it. You are well aware your kids can tire out late at night. Leave the parks in ample time. You're pregnant and can't stand on a bus for a few minutes? Drive your car. Standing on a bus STARING at people you feel should get up? RUDE. You stare at me, I'll stare right back. Yes, I do give up my seat sometimes. I, myself, though, have health issues and am young. Sometimes, I just need to sit a moment. If I don't choose to give up my seat, don't stare me in my face. You don't know me. I could be crazy ;)

Parking at the resorts, esp value. The bus system is a great convenience. I get it. You want to use the buses your whole week. Cool. Awesome. Don't park your car in the best parking spots! Especially handicap! Parking is limited. Maddening coming back at night, circling the parking lots, only to see the same vehicles in the same spots that haven't moved all week. Handicap spots are limited and the only ones with loading space for wheelchairs. Don't park in handicap if you aren't going to drive all week. Just a courtesy. When we go for a week, we park at the back of the lot.

dude, ive got 4 kids and gone to WDW many times pregnant. i would NEVER expect someone to get up just because i didnt have a vacant uterus. That's not their issue. If someone was nice, cool. In fact, I have both given up my own seat while pregnant AND declined seats while standing and pregnant. I would NOT stare people down because i felt entitled to a seat. I think you missed my point. I didn't say NO ONE should give up their seats. I said don't EXPECT people to give up their seats and stare them down because they didn't. I've seen the staring. I've been stared at, even while pregnant! That's RUDE! Don't stare at people because you feel you're more deserving of a seat

If the bus is full, I wait for the next bus to come to have a seat for myself. I'm not about to give up my seat that I waited extra long for to someone who waited half as long. Anyone that wants a seat can wait the extra time like I do.
Finally...the voice of reason.

People with ECV scooters who let others in their group use their ECV.

My wife and I were up close by the stage watching The Magic, The Memories and You, when someone behind us tries to nudge in front of us with an ECV. We move over a bit to make some room. Nowhere to go as there were people in front of us too. After lights came back on, we see the person riding said ECV must have been 14, but we didn't judge.

As we were walking towards the bridge to liberty square, the same kid hops off the ECV and returns the ECV to an elderly person traveling with their group, who was leaning against the handrail, presumably the whole duration of the show.

This has gotten to be a too common annoyance as of lately. As a Disney fan community, we need to give it a proper name due to it's growing occurrence.

Let's call it: Rafiki'ing

Rafiki'ing: The bothersome act of holding aloft one's ipad, resembling Rafiki presenting Simba to the pridelands. This is a true annoyance to others standing behind you trying to view (insert show name here). So please, NO Rafiki'ing during the show! (Por favor, no Rafiki'ing durante el espectáculo.)

Yes, that and holding digital cameras up high.

I'll take that over the old school dads with the 15 pound camcorder on their shoulder.

I had to join this site just to stick up for myself and my drafted brethren who are being unfairly maligned in this thread.

As way of an introduction, I am really good at cutting a path through a crowd. I do not push, pull, hit, trip, shove, block, or generally make contact in any way to achieve my goals. For me, and my kind, crowd surfing is an easy and fun activity. That is until the DRAFTERS appear. Drafters are people who take advantage of my skills by following me through the crowds and if I am lucky there is less than five. In fact, luckily for me they generally have to get really personal up on my bumper or risk being cutoff.

The problem is that my goal and their destinations rarely coincide; which is fine until I am ready to stop. At that point no matter how obvious I make my intentions the drafters come crashing in on me. Which leads to the next problem, I am now in their way. No matter how far I have carried them through the crowd, at this point I now become the object of ridicule and scorn as they clumsily push and shove their way past me.

Now I am not asking for any type of gratuity or praise---just some understanding.

You should put your blinkers on to signal your turning intentions and you also might want to check your brake lights if you are constantly being rear ended.

Try a shirt that says this vehicle makes frequent and SUDDEN stops.

I liked this suggestion very much at first, but the more I thought about it---People in a panic to find the nearest facilities would just fall in line behind me assuming I would lead them to the nearest bathroom. Imagine their disappointment and my awaiting surprise when I suddenly stopped in the middle of Main Street. And me being me, I would not take this completely undeserved responsibility lightly and would spend my whole vacation escorting other guests around.

I was thinking more along the lines of walking around wearing a bright green shirt and having a flag up on a stick. My chanting skills are not very good but I am willing to learn. Which might just uncover another peeve for me. The fact that other U.S.ers are so uptight that they would not be willing to join me in chanting. After all it looks like fun to me and I am somewhat jealous. "MICKEY MOUSE"!!! "DONALD DUCK"!!!

People cutting lines just because they have kids and think their entitled to stand in front of somebody without a kid.
I think that is very true. People have done that to my father and I before. Even though somebody who may have a child wants to get them on rides, they should not be allowed to cut in line. Everybody should just simply wait their turn.

Another thing that annoys me but mostly grosses me out: Anyone who doesn't flush after using the toilet. To me, I understand if the toilet simply won't flush for some reason. However, it's another thing when it's not flushed for no good reason.
That's a problem made even bigger by auto-flush toilets. So many just figure it will take care of itself.

This leads to even a more annoying problem of untimely auto-flushing while going and getting splashed! Unfortunately for the men standing at a urinal it looks like they had a little accident. I know it happens to everyone and I can tell you are chuckling. Admit it. I know Disney can do anything and make magical softer flushing toilets and urinals!

Ok, I have one for you guys. On our last trip, we noticed a really annoying guest behavior when approaching a FastPass return entrance. There was a huge group of people blocking the entrance. But why? Was it really so busy that the FP queue was out the door? Had the attraction gone down? We figured it out after about a minute of observation.... they were all staring at the clock and waiting for their "return window" to start (only 39 more minutes now!) So we carefully moved through the crowd toward the entrance, eventually we could see the empty FP queue and the cast member checked our tickets and allowed us in. I really hope there wasn't anyone else there with a valid FP that thought it was a line or something. Very annoying, but will FP+ change this behavior or make it worse?
